This isn’t about purity, there are certain issues where a Republican candidate CANNOT betray the base, because doing so would bring about conditions that would fundamentally change the makeup of the country and thus overwhelm us on every other issue.

Amnesty, the h1b and mass immigration is one of those issues. A Republican candidate absolutely cannot betray the base on that issue, because doing so would make it so that none of the other issues would matter. Even if he was conservative on every single other issue, backstabbing Trump on immigration and supporting mass immigration and the h1b would result in such a profound demographic change that the US would, within a decade, become another socialist Venezuela, with a tiny group of elites in gated neighborhoods happily flooding the country with 3rd world cheap labor that votes for socialism, squashing the middle class, small businesses and the country’s traditional population in the process. I have voted for “non-pure” Republicans in the past even when I’ve vehemently disagreed with them on other issues. I’ve voted for Republicans who’ve been wishy washy on Obamacare, or taxes or global warming, even though I’ve bitterly disagreed with them, I’ve understood they have to work in a system that isn’t ideal.

But the line has to be drawn at amnesty and mass immigration, because any Republican who betrays us there strikes at the most fundamental part of the conservative movement and the country as a whole, and their betrayal on this one issue means all the other issues don’t matter because the resulting demographic change would shortly overwhelm all our votes at the polls. This is how Hugo Chavez got and retained power. Meanwhile the h1b amnesty is gutting the country of the very jobs and careers that most reliably allow Americans to support their families in the heartland, it’s a kind of demographic warfare mixed with economic warfare against the American people.

his is why any candidate who betrays us on amnesty and mass immigration must be fought against, it’s too fundamental and dangerous to the survival of the nation to tolerate such a candidate. Again it’s not a purity test at all, I’ve voted for dozens of “impure” Republicans and even straight RINO’s before if they were better than the alternative. But no Republican can be supported if they support mass immigration, the h1b and mass amnesty, and our opposition to such candidates is the way that we enforce this demand, essential to our very survival, on our representatives against the flow of money from the cheap labor lobby. Because this is about our very survival, and any bending on the mass immigration issue would make all other issues moot. Thus the zero tolerance policy, and making sure our representatives do not betray us on this. Besides, the Florida primary hasn’t happened in yet, and part of the reason for opposing Scott is that he is so toxic to the conservative base. His very presence on the ticket, with his betrayals on DACA and amnesty, would endanger every other Republican on the ticket in the state.

Again, this is a discussion for the PRIMARY. Once the Republican is chosen, it is too late to quibble. An imperfect Republican is better than ANY Democrat.
