Mostly, the only criticisms people have is she’s a woman and does’t have a lot of judicial experience (was a professor before appointed to Appeals Court last year). They are afraid she will become a Souter.
Some appointments:
D.C. Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh, who was appointed by President George W. Bush;
Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals who Mr. Trump nominated last year;
Judge Thomas Hardiman of the 3rd Circuit who was nominated by President George W. Bush
She has made a number of public statements. So far they are looking pretty good.
She is a strong supporter of the Constitution, and a person who approves of revisiting cases.
Those are two pretty good traits.
There may be more.
We have had three women on the court. They have all been liberals. Why take the chance with another female? I fail to see the benefit.
