Gee, what other oil-based products will they ban?

90% of the plastic waste in the oceans comes from 10 rivers in Asia and Africa, and most of the rest is “recycled” US plastic that is loaded onto freighters and to countries that allegedly have processing plants but who actually just dump it in the ocean.

“... a victory for environmentalists that will be tough to replicate elsewhere in the United States...”

They underestimate the tenacity, stupidity and gullibility of the major US progressive ghetto cities of the US!

I’m old enough to remember paper straws.

They’re not so bad, but banning forks and straws is just posturing.

Ban the gasoline in your tanks a wholes! Or the fizz in your coke!

It’s amazing that leftists aren’t winning more elections with dinner table issues like plastic straw bans. I just paid my first grocery store bag tax visiting family in NY last weekend.

I have to say though that ideas like these seem modest and restrained next to their newest call for abolishing ICE and expanding Medicare coverage to all of Central and South America.

I remember those commercials, always kinda liked them too.

but then, I was taught that when I went to the hinterlands, I was required to bring my trash out with me.

Of course, there was ALWAYS THAT ONE STRAY SHELL CASING that I could never find, so I was by no means perfect.

That just means I’ll have to ask for two or three straws and throw them away to offset the virtue posturing of the green weenies.

If I remember right the actor in those commercials was actually Italian.

The man in that commercial, Iron Eyes Cody, who I met in the late 1970s, was Italian, not an American Indian.

“US still has a long way to go”

No we don’t. We’re just fine.

It’s Seattle that has the problem.
