Paramount Network has slotted July 30 at 10 PM for the premiere of Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story. The network also unveiled the full trailer for the six-part original docuseries, which recounts the life and legacy of Trayvon Martin, whose 2012 shooting death polarized the nation and gave rise to the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
Trayvon Martin was an unarmed 17-year-old African American high school student shot and killed by a neighborhood watch member in the Sanford, Florida community on February 26, 2012 where he was visiting a friend with his father. George Zimmerman was acquitted of a second-degree murder charge utilizing Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law, claiming he shot Martin in self-defense.
The fatal encounter between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman and the subsequent trial sparked nationwide outrage and protests and shined an unforgiving light on issues including race, politics, power, money and, gun control.
Interviews combined with home videos, family photos, and news footage provide an intimate look at the story of a young life tragically cut short and that spurred a movement giving rise to a rallying cry that still resonates today, #BlackLivesMatter.
Featured in the docuseries are Trayvon Martin’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin; Martin family lawyer Donald Crump, Angela Rye, Reverend Al Sharpton, Angela Davis and Carmelo Anthony, among others.
Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story also addresses the significant cultural and societal issues surrounding the tragedy as well as an in-depth examination into the investigation, trial, and the not-guilty verdict.

You say you know the media wrongly painted this, immediately followed by the picture painted by the media. I don't think you're connecting the dots here.
Trayvon wasn't walking to the store when he ambushed Zimmerman. Zimmerman didn't confront him for being black. This stuff is a matter of record in the trial. You are repeating the fake media version.
"It seems more to me it was Trayvon standing his ground."
Trayvon hid in ambush and jumped Zimmerman, and was beating his head onto the concrete. That's not "standing your ground".
I don’t know where you got your information but Zimmerman wasn’t following him because he was black but because he didn’t recognize him and Trayvon was acting suspiciously.
And Zimmerman did not confront Trayvon he was looking for him after Trayvon had disappeared when Trayvon, who had doubled back from his father’s condo, confronted Zimmerman. Confronted him with cursing, threats and a sucker punch followed up by jumping on top of him and ground pounding him including smashing his head on the concrete sidewalk.
I was curious as to what happened with her. Most articles on the results of her getting help to enter beauty school were scrubbed from the web. Ended in an epic fail. If it was “My Fair Lady,” Professor Henry Higgins would have probably offed himself.

I had to come here for the truth about the whole deal. Most everything reported here matched the end results of the trial. The MSM still sticks to their own fantasy version.

Are they going to call attention to the fact that according to his female friend he was on the phone with, Martin made it back to his stepfather’s house, and then went back to confront the man he thought was gay? And then proceeded to beat the mans head against a sidewalk until the man shot him?
Or present the media’s complicity in mangling several parts of the story, to the extent that several witnesses described the aggressor - who they thought from media presentations of old pictures was Zimmerman - but were describing how Martin was in fact dressed?

Yes, I followed it closely here on FR as well. There were only a small number of sites that FReepers were drawing from for accurate information. Less than six IIRC. None of it reported by the #FakeNews Hate America Media.
