Congratulations to Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on becoming the next President of Mexico. I look very much forward to working with him. There is much to be done that will benefit both the United States and Mexico!
Will be interesting to see how the media spin this to be a bad thing.

The economy in Mexico will take a dive under the Left. There will be huge numbers of migrants seeking to enter the US
Obrador says he’s shutting down the drug war and that if the US wants to stop drugs, it will have to put its own army on the southern border.
Maybe he and Trump can agree on putting our military on the border.
I would love that.
When do the Republicans and anyone else standing in the way move the US military to secure the southern border?

Mr. President, you are demonstrating a potentially fatal ignorance of Mexican history and politics by congratulating this man. I have NEVER been critical of Trump like this, but have to at this time. Lopez Obrador is a VERY bad and dangerous man.

Trump knows that Obrador is a nogoodnik, and that he’ll soon be out there saying rotten things about the U.S., but the optics will be terrible, seeing as Trump extended his hand in friendship first.
