Hold on. This guy might be giving a sincere apology.

He WAS wrong. If he admits it, then it may indicate he learned a lesson.

I am willing to forgive.

Look, Roseanne got the SHAFT. What she said wasn’t racist in the least.

She apologized for offending, it should have been forgiven.

Let’s extend the same courtesy to people who are sincere in their mea culpas.

That is how I see it.

The rabid heat of the political moment will result in many an overstep.

I’m always willing to do that, although I doubt that, in this case, he learned any lesson. It was just that the blowback was a little rough on Reuters, and I’m sure he was forced to “apologize.”

However, I’ll take that. I honestly have nothing against these people personally, because I know they’re not very bright herd-animals who are getting their direction from...where? They themselves probably don’t know, but somehow, they seem to pick up on the day’s marching orders. This guy just jumped the gun, and when it turned out to be so completely non-political, he was obviously told to back down. But that’s okay, no animosity on my part, he was just following orders.
