The highest priority for a SCOTUS pick better be a strong 2A supporter, because without the 2nd Amendment, there is nothing left to defend against losing all the others.
No one speaks for evangelicals. Huge group with no established leadership. I’d support her, but I’ll support anyone who believes the CONSTITUTION determines constitutionality instead of “how I feel about it today”...
I would rather trust Trumps instincts on a good pick than what the evangelicals would like to see. No offense, but that just is not a good criteria.

I do recall the religious litmus test that Diane Feinstain seemed to engage in. It was inappropriate. Barrett handled it without getting visibly upset or distracted.
She is the name getting lots and lots of buzz with conservatives on twitter. Laura Ingraham endorsed her this morning. There is a strong case that having the democrats viciously attack a mother because of her religion will cause evangelical turnout to go through the roof in time for the midterms. She also has a long history of writings that is basically a clone of Scalia.

No, the Court has been almost entirely Catholic or Jewish for way too long. It’s way out of balance.
She has three names and that is rarely a good sign.
Gorsuch was the “frozen trucker” judge. I wonder what they will zero in on with this one.
We need a justice that believes in and properly applies the constitution to his/her judgements. Period.

I’m Catholic, and I definitely don’t trust someone who is defined solely as “Catholic.” Pope Francis is Catholic, and there are many Catholics who think like him.
We need someone who puts the exact words of the Constitution first.
