President Trump has five frontrunners in mind to replace Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy who announced his retirement Wednesday, according to Fox News.
The president said he would pick from a list of roughly 25 judicial nominees compiled by the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society during his campaign.

Let each person stand on their own merits. Clarence Thomas was appointed by George H.W. Bush and Samuel Alito by George W. Bush. They worked out fine. Each potential nominee needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. My hesitation with a Bush appointee is that I want a young conservative on the court and those appointed by a President Bush (certainly with H.W.) are likely to be longer in the tooth than I would like.
Has nothing to do with PC.
Has to do with Politics.
Trump is going to have to get the best choice he can get through the Senate. Given the current hysterics running the Dem party, and the complete lack of spine among 10-20 GOP Senators, going to have to give something to get something.
The War on Bork is going to be nothing compared to what the Left does here. Kennedy is their squish vote. Losing his vote to a Conservative is going to limit the only avenue of power they still hold, the Courts.
I mean orthodox from an objective point of view. Most unorthodox Catholics believe they are orthodox, but they are mistaken. An orthodox Catholic cannot be pro-abortion because the Catholic Church teaches that abortion is a serious sin. The way she acts indicates she really is orthodox (for example, she has 7 children). She explicitly criticized Roe v. Wade (see comment 27 above). Even Justice Gorsuch didnt do that.
Lack of her position on the Second Amendment may be a cause for concern, but do we know the position on the Second Amendment of the other candidates?
Are you really this completely stupid? Once again your post indicates you have NO CLUE what you are talking about when you post
The fact that Sandra Day O’Connor had three children did not make her an anomaly because at that time women used to have more children. These days, most women with seven children are either very devout believers or reckless welfare cases.
For my part, got divorced from a mostly nice moderate to squishy guy, remarried a very nice guy who loves the Lord and, thanks to my now rock-solid convictions, have helped him turn into a confirmed pro-life, pro-God defined marriage supporter and pro-Second Amendment voter!
He also loved finding out I had a life membership in the NRA and membership in GOA, when asking me to marry him!
Before menopause, I was definitely a strong conservative but have become an activist and a proud card-carrying member of Hillarys basket of deplorables!
If Thapar is a sure thing constitutionalist, he’d be the best pick.
LORD, please hear our prayers and if it be Your will, save us from the judges who believe our Constitution is a fiction novel.
Amen.
When Ginsburg, Kagan, or Sotomayor goes, yes. But not now. That would put four women on the court.
When has this president ever done the expected? If I were a betting girl my money would be on him choosing someone other than the ones on this list.
With the voters? Who cares. They will play to their base.
the whole feminist movement is a sham. not a one of them had a word to say about three Trump female employees being thrown out of restaurants etc. just for working for Trump. What does that tell you DoughtyOne?
I am leaning towards Thapar. Is he married? If not I want Barrett.
Kavanaugh is/was way too close to the Bushes. Kethledge has rabid Democrat in-laws.
Hardiman may be okay, but I would flesh out immigration views before considering. With immigration law reform next year, I would not want a softy on the bench.
This vote will alter the US for decades and we conservatives cant take the chance of going politick when our President doesnt!
Why should we worry about losing liberal votes here in the Senate, like a Bush presidency would have.
Their backs are literally against the wall here, and they know it.
She has to go first. Ginsberg is 83. John Paul Stevens and Oliver Wendell Holmes served into their 90s.
Any Opinion of Amul Thapar?
I would love to see the Rats attacking an Indian American during the Confirmation process, especially Lieawatha Warren.
Ginsberg is like Herpes, it never goes away.
I think my greatest fear is Justice Roberts becoming the new “swing vote”.
Near East Indians say they like what Trump has been
doing for them.....but I dont think he’ll chose him.
I’m just looking at the Entertainment value. #;^)
