They know they won't be able to pivot to the middle to fool the voters. Dem candidates will be asked about it and expose their Leftist Socialism to all.
LOL

Your post #8 is très correct.
I’m no great fan of Kennedy, but it was a classy move.
Poor old Ruth Bader Ginsberg is hanging on as long as she can.
Hanging on = staying awake
It will be fun watching Red state Dem senators squirm over their vote.
The Dems are melting down just like Dems in WI did over Act 2/Walker recall.
That is funny right there :)
TRUMP. Best vote EVER!
“Poor old Ruth Bader Ginsberg is hanging on as long as she can.”
Installing a strong conservative may convince Ruth Buzzy that her cause is lost leading her to retirement.
Alternately, he might think that his replacement now might be fairly moderate, in order to get through the divided Senate. In 2019, though, we would either have a conservative majority Senate, where Trump could push through a very conservative choice, or a dem controlled one which won’t approve anybody from Trump.

We could only hope for that outcome- BUT ...
Look at Mclame, dying, senile, crippled- he will NEVER
leave!- so “Buzzy will probably stay too”
oh BTW- Mclame will stick around to OPPOSE Trumps pick
as will Flake—
Ginsberg is ill, iirc, but she is such a partisan she’ll never quit. Likely, they have orders to put her on a life support machine until advantageous politically
They are full of sh*t. Even with a Conservative court, this country is flailing miserably adhering to the original intent of our Constitution. "Hard right" to them is Originalism and some of the worst justices have actually been appointed by Republicans.
Like Earl Warren and Brennan!
Earl Warren was a politician, and Brennan only had five years experience as a judge, as state of New Jersey judge.
Appointments have too often been based more on political horse-trading than jurisprudence.
I think we have a much better chance with Trump's list of potential justices, consisting of people with long histories of conservative jurisprudence, and have been carefully researched for their judicial philosophy and personal character, and are personally well known to conservative court-watchers.
Roberts is still a weak link that they had something on. Unless Trump has neutralized that, he will shift to being the swing vote that the left focuses on in every important decision. Replace RBG, and that will bring a true conservative majority. Soon, Thomas will want to retire, we will need to retain a Senate majority for when that happens. Breyer may retire soon, and I have read Sotomayor’s health is bad from diabetes. During Trump’s two terms, he may get 6 SC appointments.
When Kennedy’s replacement is confirmed, and then the Republicans retain the Senate, she may as well retire then. She will be hanging on only to be a minority voice.
yup... i’ve seen just about every video he’s made, and now Popp’s out of the Army he’s going full bore and going to do stand up comedy too
WINNING!
