Hold on now. Didn’t Mike Lee vote for Evan McMuffin in the general? Yes, he did. And he was willing to throw away the judges and give a half a vote to Hillary. I know you like Mike Lee, but he is one of the NeverTrumpers that you rail against!
Flake seems to be eager to lead the remaining Never Trumpers.
Was Levin, in fact, a "NeverTrumper"? That would mean he supported and voted for a candidate other than Trump in the general election. Did he? If not, then he was not a NeverTrumper.
This is what I wrote to you in 2017....

Pretty much. Last week Mark said that Trump has been a VERY conservative president. Pretty big admission. And more so than he tought Trump could be and more conservative than either of the two Bushes and thats why the Bushes hate Trump. He said Trump has been a very conservative president and he was wrong.

How can you reward Mike Levin with the nominee didn’t care about the nominees when he gave half a vote to Hillary? How can you trust a Trump protester???

“Was Levin, in fact, a “NeverTrumper”? That would mean he supported and voted for a candidate other than Trump in the general election. Did he? If not, then he was not a NeverTrumper. “
I don’t know who appointed you the authority to define what a “NeverTrumper” is for the rest of us, but I didn’t.
Levin was a “NeverTrumper” no doubt about it. He has come around a lot lately and I give him credit for that.
The English language. "Never" means "never," as in not even supporting or voting for Trump in the general election against Hillary.
Otherwise, a conservative who did not support Trump in the primaries but did in the general--it would be more accurate to describe such a person as a "ReluctantTrumper."
On September 6, 2016, Mark Levin stated that he would vote for Donald Trump. (You can look it up.) Therefore, he did not end up being a “NeverTrumper.”
Levin was a died in the wool Cruzer. He has come over to Trump grudgingly. But he has came over some on some things. Cruz was his man. It was a tough loss for him. He still has a moment every now and then. I have to listen to a ballgame or something.
Breaking news, Mark Levin gets angry. His righteous anger is most admirable. He sounds almost as angry as he was at candidate Trump pre-election, and at Free Republic for being a pro-Trump site. Hey, I’ve got some advice for you Mark. Take your holier than thou schtick, and stick it.
Levin has said many times on his radio program that he was a Cruz guy until Trump won the nomination, then he jumped on. Levin’s been very critical of Trump’s tariffs, but other than that, he’s been a pretty solid Trump supporter.
Not that I’m aware of. Yeah, I know. Technically he wasn’t a never Trumper because he stated last minute that he would vote for Trump over Hillary. It’s called hedging your bets. He spent the whole election season leading up to that trashing Trump and bemoaning how the GOP ruined a perfect opportunity at victory by nominating Trump, and pretty much continued that way up to election day, discouraging many of his listeners from voting for Trump in the process. Now he’s lecturing Never Trumpers. Ironic isn’t it?
Hey Mark (I know you lurk around here) Levin, please give your opinion on this:
Dingy Hairy (sic) went nuclear from 60 to 50 on lower court votes. McConnell raised the ante to include Supreme Court candidates.
What prevents him from going THERMAL-nuclear by pushing through a resolution that any nominee with the ABAs HIGHEST rating (qualified or well qualifiedwhichever it is) requires a plurality of 40-45 votes for confirmation?
That neuters the resistance commucrats and the RINO ankle biters.
The Senate still gives advice and consent just with a different formula for the consent. (Sorta what they did with the Corker approach to the treaty with Iran)
Theres going to be hell to pay when the confirmation happens either way. Might as well light it off on our terms.
It certainly would have been good if Sessions had stayed in the Senate and we had 52.
So the motion (ala the Corker ploy) is to withhold consent, not grant it. Unless 51 vote FOR that motion, consent is NOT withheld. Iran got the money and the deal, we get our SC Justice.
He trashed Trump relentlessly from the time Cruz was knocked out until a few days before the election. Did he say "go vote for Hillary"? No. Did he rail about Trump being a populist and how bad that was, how his mention of tarrifs would destroy the economy, etc? Yup, every night and relentlessly. And during that time, what was his criticism of Hillary? Crickets.
I'm glad he had some sort of road to Damascus conversion but it came after the election.
Sen. Mike Lee urges Trump to quit, as Utah Republicans abandon their party's nominee
“But Lee, who is cruising to re-election, has been the leading Trump critic in the red state where the nominee's weakness is inspiring two third-party candidates to make a run at its electoral votes. Last month, Trump put Lee on a list of possible Supreme Court nominees; Lee rebuffed him, saying he preferred to stay in the Senate.”
