You might want to check out "Nobel," another Norwegian series. The protagonist, Erling Riiser, is a sniper in an elite Norwegian paratrooper unit. Set against the backdrop of the Norwegian military in Afghanistan, the various storylines focus on NGOs and corruption, double-dealing govt types and the military.
For example, the protagonist's wife is shocked, horrified even, to learn that her husband, the elite paratrooper sniper, at times actually, you know, kills people. How she deals with this realization, especially as the story goes on and she learns more about who her husband really is, is just one of the really interesting parts of this series.
Yes, Netflix. But it was still really good!

I will look for it, thanks.
We should start a thread here of good thoughtful interesting shows to watch. Ones with depth and texture.

Just finished season 2
I think it has helped me to understand the Scandinavian mind.
I could never understand how for instance the Swedes have let their country be occupied by Moslims.
But when I watched the emotional denial being played out in Occupied, I better understood how people can deny what is in front of them, or even the emotions that arise, in order to stay cognitively safe, and within their tribe.
What they have been told all their lives, does not line up with reality, whether it be with emotions, sex or politics, and they just ignore it.
Amazing.
