Stephanie Wilkinson was at home Friday evening nearly 200 miles from the White House when the choice presented itself.
Her phone rang about 8 p.m. It was the chef at the Red Hen, the tiny farm-to-table restaurant that she co-owned just off Main Street in Lexington, Va.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders had just walked in and sat down, the chef informed her.
He said the staff is a little concerned. What should we do? Wilkinson told The Washington Post. I said Id be down to see if its true.
It seemed unlikely to her that President Trumps press secretary should be dining at a 26-seat restaurant in rural Virginia. But then, it was unlikely that her entire staff would have misidentified Sanders, who had arrived last to a table of eight booked under her husbands name.
As she made the short drive to the Red Hen, Wilkinson knew only this:
She knew Lexington, population 7,000, had voted overwhelmingly against Trump in a county that voted overwhelmingly for him. She knew the community was deeply divided over such issues as Confederate flags. She knew, she said, that her restaurant and its half-dozen servers and cooks had managed to stay in business for 10 years by keeping politics off the menu.
And she knew she believed that Sarah Huckabee Sanders worked in the service of an inhumane and unethical administration. That she publicly defended the presidents cruelest policies, and that that could not stand.
Im not a huge fan of confrontation, Wilkinson said. I have a business, and I want the business to thrive. This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.

It would be nice if someone could compile a complete list of her restaurant "empire".

Right. Like the Christian businesses her side keeps suing if they wont shut up and express her sides beliefs instead of their own?
The owner sounds like a bitter loser who would cut off her nose to spite her face. Her hate will consume her soul.
#SheKnew
That her cousin, Meryl Streep, called Harvey Weinstein God
#SheKnew
That Bill Clinton committed numerous assaults, against women.
#SheKnew
That her leftist politics and complete TDS overtook ANY business sense she may have ever had.

See my new discussion with links for follow-up. Turns out the county went 62% for Trump and Stephanie Wilkinson woke up this morning as Executive Director of Main Street Lexington, which promotes Lexington downtown businesses. Are they all bigoted like this? Do they support her bigotry? Ask them!
Justice would be that place being burned to the ground.
I was just remembering when Hussein got elected, people had school children singing hymns to him, actual hymns, with the words Jesus or such replaced with Husseins name. I have not seen anything remotely like that from our side-thank God. Leftism is politico/religion, no less than the Christianity they are trying to suppress, outlaw if/when they can. The same as Islam.

Theophagy. No doubt she's engaged in theophagy with him...
You’re getting a little more Canadian every day, in fact I can’t think of any specific incident quite this overt, closest I could recall was when somebody tried to pie David Icke at a bookstore signing (and missed wide left).
Here is her LinkedIn page (before she makes it private):

The proper answer would be to serve them.
Note that these are the same people who DEMAND that bakers bake wedding cakes for ceremonies they find morally reprehensible.
I didn’t realize two things before reading this article ... first, they were seated and served and second, as Sarah was leaving, the others were told they could stay.
Unbelievable.
And ...Sarah’s party offers to pay for what they had been served.
“Hope her business goes the way of Starbucks.”
I don;t think the Red Hen will go the way of Starbucks and be worth $72 billion.
Lol! The owner is fishing for sympathy and understanding - validation even.
I wonder....will Amazon.com stop serving Trump supporters?
If this were the other way around and had happened to a spokesperson working for obama or clinton, a few things would happen:
1. their army of out of work/college kid/paid for by soros protesters would be outside and marching thru the place, thereby shutting it down.
2. the health inspector would have received an anonymous tip that they were serving rats, dogs, cats and cockroaches and would have swept in there at first light. who would have went there with a forensic team to find any/all bacteria/dirt
3. the Labor Dept would have received a tip that they weren’t paying all their employees, on the books..resulting in them being torn apart
4. the IRS would have received a tip that they were cheating on their taxes and have been, since the day they opened...audits going back to 2008
5. ICE, is good when the Dem’s need them, would have been called and went thru the backgrounds of all the employees.
She would have been out of business by the end of the week, if not sooner.
I’m not a big fan of boycotts, but in this case, I’ll make an exception. I hope she learns a valuable lesson in how to file for bankruptcy.
