I quit eating out a long time ago. $10 Martinis and $40 dollar steaks? Total rip off. Eat me.

Agree. Too pricey and too many germs. Last time I was forced to eat out due to being out of town, I got food poisoning. A few days later, heard over 100 people got food poisoning from a different restaurant, Mexican restaurant, in the same town. Cooking at home, I know what germs are getting in my food - my own. And I wash my hands unlike so many food service workers. I don't scratch down my butt with the spatula or change diapers on the kitchen counter or dining table as I've witnessed. You're right. Cooking at home saves a boatload of money. Money that most of us don't have to squander. There are disbelievers but I budget food to under $5/day and many days less. I have a lemon tilapia almondine with carrot soufflé and cucumber yogurt salad which hubby swears he couldn't get better in a 5 star restaurant. Calculated the cost for an FR naysayer at about $1.75. A fill you up all day homemade from scratch (bun and sauce) Schlotsky's copy cat sandwich runs about $1.50 compared to store bought around $6. They may not be melt like butter but my "steaks" are on sale boneless country ribs. Maybe Trump can cut her hours so she can make more than pecan pies for her family and avoid the haters.
