After visiting a migrant detention facility on Friday, California Sen. Kamala Harris (D) accused the Trump administration of committing "crimes against humanity."
Harris visited the Otay Mesa Detention Facility near San Diego, California, to meet with migrant mothers who had been separated from their children, according to Bloomberg.
"This is outrageous," Harris said, addressing a crowd of several hundred protesters outside the facility, Bloomberg reported. "This is clearly a crime against humanity that is being committed by the United States government and we have to stop it."
Harris blasted the administration for giving "no indication" of how the process of reuniting separated migrant families would work.
More than 2,000 migrant children were separated from their parents upon crossing into the U.S. illegally under the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy from April to May. The policy, announced in April, sought to aggressively prosecute migrants who crossed the southern border illegally, often leading to children being separated from their parents as the adults awaited court dates.
Harris described the detention facility as a "prison."
"I am a career prosecutor; I have visited many prisons and jails. That is a prison," she said.
During her visit to the facility, which is operated by private prison company CoreCivic Inc., Harris spoke with three immigrant mothers who said they had been forcibly separated from their children at the U.S.–Mexico border with limited or no contact.

The Democrats and never-Trumpers are milking this situation for all its worth. The effort is to push the agenda of open borders which will import new voters for the Democrats. It will also destroy Trump’s economic triumph when illegals will swamp the job market by working for lower wages and cause skyrocketing unemployment. Also, the demands for social services will demand tax increases to pay for it all. Taxes always depress the economy.
Imagine having to do this heavy lifting day in and day out and make no progress. Even Morning Joe had to tag in Donny Doosh.

Undocumented Immigrants Continue To Be Dropped Off At An Arizona Bus Station
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - After Arizona Governor Jan Brewer fired off a letter to President Obama, concerned about dozens of undocumented immigrants being dropped off at a Phoenix bus station, another bus load of immigrants arrived.
Early Tuesday morning FOX 10 saw a bus load of people dropped off by a bus with Department of Homeland Security markings.
The Greyhound spokesperson said that Arizona is the only state they’re aware of that is getting bus loads of people.
The Greyhound bus station near 24th St & Buckeye has turned into a refuge for bus loads of immigrants being dropped off by DHS.
FOX 10 was told immigration officials are moving hundreds of undocumented workers caught in Texas who are from Central America to Arizona. DHS says they don’t have the manpower to process them all. (snip)

I’d say keep calm and ask Kamala such questions. She’s chickensh-t herself. I don’t agree that Trump’s first move was the best under the circumstances. But it did manage to make the left condemn what it had been busily doing.

And I did see something odd just tonight. Donald called off a Congressional bash — no indication that Congress had voted to forego it. Looks like a big political dare, as the supplies were diverted to Walter Reed. I hope Congress did vote it, otherwise yes we may have a little Napoleon now. That’s the danger of a “Christian supporter” who won’t actually confess. Sooner or later what the Christians and the supporter want to do will diverge.

I personally would want to try to be impressing Donald Trump with how a Christian point of view looks. It isn’t static. It’s dynamic, based on the Spirit of God. I do see an apparent divine influence on Donald but like all mortals he is yet a sinner.
Harris should be challenged on the same basis that she is challenging Donald Trump.
