"Democracy Dies in Darkness" or, according to Rolling Stone writer Ana Marie Cox, Democracy Dies in Duluth. Yes, that is her premise as she paints a condescending picture of those attending the June 20 rally for President Donald Trump in Duluth, Minnesota.
Before reaching her death of democracy conclusion, Cox portrayed the crowd at the rally as a bunch of mere light weight yahoos:

Rolling Stone sees a lot of weird and wacky things. They hear a lot of strange voices too.
I see they’re using the same powers of prognostication as was used to expose the Frat=Rape culture at UVA.
Ironic that one of the theme songs played was ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ by the Rolling Stones.
Let us rephrase the Rolling Stone verbage a bit. Instead of “End of Democracy”, let’s change it to “End of the entire Democrat Party”!!!
And....I would suggest that “Rolling Stone” Magazine get used to seeing massive, successful Trump Rallies across the entire nation...at least until election day.
Yes, because a corrupt, biased bureaucracy is the key to
“democracy” eh, Wenner . .er, Loser
Notice how they NEVER detail HOW, and also fail to criticize the fbi, clintons, obambi/jarrett, as threats
Just lame generalized crap to appeal to their drug addled LIV (declining) base
I don’t know, I would like to think Rolling Stone is right.
I would like to see the rise of the Republic.
Rolling Stones don’t think.
The 2nd civil war inches closer......
That still doesn't explain how she can be so wrong.
As long as these idiots are apoplectic, all’s well.
I guess that to the Left it is the “End of Democracy” when the majority does not agree with the Left.

For some reason I thought Wolfe worked for RS at one point. Anyway...now that was journalism! EVERY mag nowadays are stupid opinions dressed up as fact!
Duluth is a far cry from “Trump Country”. It is a blast from the past that still lives in the hardcore union mining days of old. A democrat stronghold kept alive by memories of the golden years.
As a contractor, it is nearly impossible to do a job up there if you are not a union shop. They don’t care if a school repair costs 10 times as much as long as it takes a hundred union workers from 10 trades to replace a light bulb.
The mentality up there has kept the whole region in the dumpster. Maybe they will wake up, maybe not.
was it ever alive at that left wing rag?
Does Rolling Stones even know where Duluth is on the map?
Probably not.
If it dies I hope it takes a lot of smug so called journalists with it.
I had no idea LSD was making a comeback amongst the commie chic...
