Why be such a jerk to the servers. How people treat wait staff tells me a lot about the character of people I know.
Because dc just instituted a $15 an hour wage to tipped workers. That’s a clear signal that they shouldn’t need tips anymore.
When the servers are receiving an hourly rate of $15/hour, the “tip” is now included in their wages. That’s the European Continental custom and you don’t tip. Servers don’t get both, at least not for me.
This has nothing to do with the boorish behavior of these Democrat jerks and probably belongs on another thread. But, I will not tolerate Progressive behavior in restaurants by their political stunt with $15/hour wage or with these tantrums. I will go elsewhere, and this owner must know that many others will do the same.
A tip is not an entitlement.
Good service = good tip.
Bad service, I leave a token and hold the balance for the next GOOD server.
