THE TRUTH:
The girl’s father, Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, was located by the always-on-the-job Daily Mail, and told a very different story from what the press had been reporting.
One, the kid wasn’t separated.
Two, family separation indeed occur, from the Honduran illegal immigrant’s side. The girl’s mother had actually abandoned three other children and her father, to take the one-year-old toddler, through the hands of smugglers, to the U.S. illegally, without the father’s permission. She in fact didn’t tell anyone.
Three, this was no poverty story: The kid’s expensive shoes and jacket offered a hint of that in the photo, but now it turns out the mother apparently lived a very wealthy life, her spouse or babydaddy a sea captain over in Puerto Cortes. She had a spare $6,000 handy to pay a human smuggler for the crossing, according to the father.
Oh, and she’s been deported before, in 2013, a multiple entry case with little regard for U.S. law, as so many of them are.
And instead of inhuman treatment, the father says she’s comfortable and well-cared for by Americans over in McAllen, Texas.
What’s more, she was not coming up here under a credible fear of persecution, as has been reported from the asylum-promoting crowd, but here to make money, as the child’s dad said, dead set on taking a job from an American.
As in the previous comment, this will never see prime time.
When the media can’t influence people with the truth, they turn to despicable lies. Proving for all to see that the corrupt media spreads fake news which supports Trump’s claims and increases his credibility and decreases the media’s - they must be that desperate to wage a losing war like this.
the president should have a 3 strike rule for the media being allowed in press briefings. 3 strikes on reporting false hoods with in a 1 year period your organization losses its press pass for a year. and cant go to press briefings or ride in the pool of reporters that fallow the president and air force one. when the press gets angry aand they will refer them to how YouTube handles copyright infringement and violations of acceptable content rules. then inform them they are not having there free speech violated they are free to report what they want.
Years ago I was interviewed by a national magazine regarding a story about abuses when charging telephone calls. Everything I claimed happened was subsequently thoroughly documented not by the reporter but by a third party at the magazine. This was one paragraph in a tiny article about these abuses not a front page article about the president.
I find that Time magazine “mistake” to be a deliberate action to create news and the only mistake they made was they didn’t think they could be caught.
I see that cover with the Honduran in pink as a fine representation of the problem. The entire migrant world, standing there like a whining spoiled brat that can’t get its way.
Or maybe, I see one that in the year 2032 will be a 16 year old who hates America, and came here to whelp out 7 kids, who will helpfully pop out another 35 or 40 grandkids between them. Out of that crowd 2 or 3 will be in gangs, 13 will be on welfare, and one will get drunk and kill some sweet little American kid in a car wreck that should have never happened.
B
LOL - NOT the response corrupt liberal elites in the press were looking for...
Like the cover ‘Madam President’
Why should be be surprised to see Time magazine lying again?
