You recoiled at my suggestion that The Church might honor Christ as it’s ONLY Head.

“Eliminate the office, and — as is Scriptural — finally declare Christ as the Forever Only Legitimate Head of The Church (ref. Eph 1:22, 4:15, 5:23; Col. 1:18).”

Peter’s restoration was not to Headship, but to Leadership.

The Church should honor Christ as its ONLY Head.

We're agreed on that.

Just as all fatherhood derives from the Father from Whom every family on earth derives its name --- subordinate fathers, like your dad and mine --

There are also subordinate heads, like the father as the head of the family.

No human person can take the place of Christ.

But every human who is in some way a "first" or a "leader" should exercise that leadership under the sovereignty of Christ our Head.
