WASHINGTON Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year carried out more than 72,000 deportations of parents who said they had U.S.-born children, according to reports to Congress obtained Wednesday by The Huffington Post.
The reports were sent by ICE in April to the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee, as required by law. ICE confirmed the authenticity of the two reports, which lay out 72,410 removals of immigrants who said they had one or more U.S.-born children in 2013.
The reports show that even parents of U.S. citizens are among the hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants being expelled from the United States each year. They hold particular significance as President Barack Obama faces pressure to change his deportation policies to keep families together. Obamas deportation policies are under increased scrutiny by those in both political parties as the House stalls on immigration reform and the government scrambles to deal with an influx of unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S. border illegally. While opponents of immigration reform have argued that Obamas lax enforcement is attracting new unauthorized immigrants, reform advocates are turning to the White House to slow deportations.

And the hypocritical faux outrage marches on.
I wonder what the Communist rag is saying *today*...as if I had to ask.
NO !! Impossible only trump does that , D’oh
This is an INVASION. Wake up, America.
My small violin needs tuning nowadays...
Waaa Waaaa Waaaaa.
I just had to turn off Fox News because they’re insist on pushing this stupid story 24/7.
You know what, ladies? Screw you and your stupid emotions. Don’t want to see little children separated from their parents? Build a frigging wall so NONE of them can come into our country.
So that “anchor-baby” thing isn’t working out so well for them, eh?
Deportation doesn’t *have* to separate them - the kids could go too!
Maybe they should stop breaking into other people’s country!
told ya so ping
Good grief, Sandra Smith sucks as a news anchor. She just let some bald faggot Hillary supporter rant and talk over Corey Lewandowski.
I think we are about to see the usual GOP response, which is to endure heavy partisan criticism for a long spell before caving in on principle, thereby maximizing the damage.
What is needed is a clear explication of the facts of illegal immigration from Central and South America. The only skill these folks are exhibiting is the ability or endurance to walk across the porous border.
You can watch the NYT cover speculation by Elon Musk and others that the pace of automation, and exploitation of AI may mean mass cataclysmic unemployment in fields that were formerly stable. But don’t hold your breath waiting for the NYT to explain how admitting hundreds of thousands of poorly educated folks who are only capable of performing menial jobs fits with this rapidly transforming job environment. How many landscapers or strawberry pickers do we need? A. Not this many.
They can take their spawn with them - problem solved.
It’s about time the children of illegals use the Mexican side of the dual citizenship.
Anchor babies are not U.S. citizens. Deport them all.
btt
Also a false headline.
The parents abandonec their children in a foreign country when they were sent home to theirs.
Would you?
To be sure Huff-Po will address the discrepancy. Or not.
When an illegal alien is deported I am sure that they can arrange for their anchor babie children to go with them. The children can return when they are 18.
Lets talk about those ‘good parents who put their female children on birth control before handing them over to sex traffickers to get them to America, knowing they would be repeatedly raped the entire journey and then some.
