FULL TITLE:The great pile-on: Every loathsome washed up pol crawls out of the woodwork to bash Trump on child migrants
It's also been announced that these stories are working, causing President Trump's poll numbers to fall. Some call it "Trump's Katrina" and never mind that voters elected him because they just want illegal immigration to stop.
So what has this media-driven perception of "not winning" brought us now?
Every committed Trump hater and skeevy NeverTrump is crawling out of the woodwork to pile on. Say a few sentences about how terrible it is to separate children from immigration lawbreakers, and it's instant headline time. The feeding-frenzy media ensures it.

Personally I’m tired of hearing about it. Close the border now! Problem solved.

MAYBE, IT'S JUST *ME*? FrankR 06-19-2018 Is it just "conservative" Americans? Or, maybe, it's just me. But, I could not put (or allow) my children to embark on a one-thousand-plus mile journey - some of it on *top* of a freight train - to another country, no matter what the "prize" that awaits them at the other end.
Drawing a logical conclusion from that, is Conservative Americans, or just me, that cares that much more about their kids?
But, we have kids from Mexico, and all points south, headed straight for our Southern border to find "asylum". "Asylum", from what? That's never clearly defined.
Are these *feral* kids, with no (caring) parents, or relatives?
Of all the photos we've seen, there's just about as many 20+ year old "children" traveling in these groups, as any other age. They've trekked over a thousand miles, in some cases, based on some promise, or maybe, orders, to enter America.
Even though the practice of "separation" from their "parents" at the border began many years ago, and is evidenced in quotes by Hillary Clinton, Obama, and other democrats, suddenly it has become the Republicans' fault.
Democrats - who support killing children in the womb for their own convenience - are leveling some sort of sick judgment on people who want that practice stopped...but still, we're supposed to be the ones to "hate kids".
Laws were put into place by Congress to carry out the current practices, and we are merely following the law. Congress has been offered the opportunity to "fix it", but they seem reluctant to take that step, as it will cost them "talking points" against their opposition, and put the result of their "bill" squarely in the sights of voters, for all to see. Actions have consequences.
America has her own set of problems, with Americans. There are bad American parents. There are "feral" American children, living homeless on the streets. Yet, the third-world dungholes look to us to take in their poor and homeless problem. The dictators who run those countries then have more money left for themselves and their follies.
The "left" thinks they have finally found the coup de gras to take down our President - a President who is finally doing his job by enforcing the law (that Democrats passed). But, it will also backfire on them, just like all their other catty schemes.
The one big legacy from the Clintons is, "politics of personal destruction"; to get rid of you as their opposition, they will show no mercy in ruining your life, or whatever. To them, the results defines the means, and they will do whatever it takes to get to that end.
But, I can't even fathom how a parent can see a child leave on a quest that offers no guarantee of safety, and welfare, or that child. Could it be that there are no parents in lots of cases. They've been "eliminated", and now the country involved needs to find a way to "dispose" of all those leftover kids? "Send them to America!"
Any interested adults would be foolish not to allow them to go, as the children could provide the "inside straight" to their own entry into the USA later, claiming guardianship, kinship, whatever...you know, the "Trojan Horse" effect.
Either way, in such a long trip, there had to be a lot of sleeping on the ground, hygiene problems, hunger, healthcare, and abuse along the way.
Let's just say - for a nanosecond - that the USA is housing them in "cages"...they're getting fed well, clothed, medical care, and not sleeping in the dirt. And, law says we can only old them for 20 days...certainly 20 days can't be as much of a "hardship" as a thousand mild trip through central America and Mexico.
So as CNN, and the other alphabet news agencies writhe in orgasmic splendor at the thought of having the President "right where they want him", just ask yourself..."what kind of parent would subject their child to this kind of life?
But, the left wants them here so they can vote "democrat"...that could be the answer as to the kind of parent(s) they are.

We’re seeing a carefully coordinated attack on President Trump using the children of illegal alien parents held in detention as the vehicle. The lies are stunning but typical for Trump-haters.
I agree that this latest attack is a three-pronged effort; (1) to obscure Trump’s latest successes with the economy and the North Korea summit, (2) weaken his support nationally and, (3) to help the left’s push for open borders.
That the president is holding firm is very heartening and frankly, almost inspiring when compared to the instant capitulation we would have seen from the Bush presidency.
Oh, and Ted Cruz is a major disappointment...again.

Shut down the border citing
national security concerns.
Instead of hiring thousands
more lawyers, spend the $ on
troop support. NO ONE gets in
until Congress stops fighting
like a bunch of stepchildren,
and passes legislation supporting
Trumps agenda. This invasion
must be stopped.

Sometimes the worst thing is when the GOP collectively can’t get ahead of an hot button issue.
Remember the govt shutdowns in the 90’s? Whose fault was it? It was Clinton’s! And yes, we expected the media to parrot the Dem talking points. But the GOP either couldn’t or wouldn’t get in front of the issue.
We’re seeing the same thing again. This is really a non-issue but all you’re seeing are pictures of crying kids and distressed Dem lawmakers taking Trump and the GOP to task continually.
And so far, the GOP and Trump’s response? No much. Again, we have failed to get out in front of the issue. I’m not saying this could kill us at the polls in November - but it sure as hell doesn’t help.

Good points.
I’m surprised to see Glen Beck’s Blaze site posting the positive Trump side of the immigration story.

“What do you want Trump to do?

Well yeah, that’s obvious what the MSM is trying to do. My point has long been “Why don’t we fight back?”
We have to get our point out that this is a ginned-up issue for political reasons only. Ginned up by a political party and media hell bent on bringing down Trump and the GOP at any cost.
Some out there are gonna say “What does it matter? We can’t win now the way the media is portraying us”. My point, using the 1990’s analogy, has been “Why the hell don’t we try?”
TV ads, mailings, billboards, the Internet - they’re all options that are viable. We need to use them.

Trump is fighting back, but he’s a Army of One.
The Repukes are stabbing him in the back at every turn.

President Trump has “read” their playbook.
I would not be surprised if President Trump does something really spectacular (and unexpected) that will take the wind out these stories.
Sometimes the President gives the left a lot of rope to ...well you know.
Let us see what rabbit the President pulls out of his hat.
