Amazon and ebay banned the sale of all confederate flags. Certainly these retailers wouldn’t circumvent such rules would they?
I’m glad these pols are on top of the important stuff.
Inside label says: Made In Vietnam
Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown and Maine Senator Susan Collins—So thats what they have been working on.
Great idea.
And triple the prices.
Let enemies domestic who want to burn them at least contribute to our domestic economy.
I don't mind paying more.
Just make sure that ALL foreign made flags are banned; or place a 500% import duty on them all.
I like Cracker Barrel, but it’s a little annoying to walk into their restaurants and see lots of patriotic merchandise all made in China.
It’s not Cracker Barrels fault or Walmarts fault for carrying merchadise made in China. It’s governmental trade policy fault. And Trump is well on his way to fixing it by restoring the tariffs that served our country well for 180 years.
“Under current law, any American flag purchased by the government must be at least 50 percent made in the USA.”
Dies that mean that 7 stripes and 26 stars mush be made in the USA?
I don’t think this would be a necessary law. More a feel-good gesture. How about offering financial and tax incentives for companies that do make it here in America? That I could support. Some new products would not make it past R&D stage unless they could do so over seas with less over head costs.
At least for the first few years.
Smartphones are but one example.
Wait, wouldn’t that be 28 1/2 stars for half the 57 states?
Also available at Amazon
Sounds kinda like a........wait for it......TARRIFF!
Wow. I thought this was the existing law.
We have a quality flag manufacturer here in San Antonio, A few years back when liberals were twisting their knickers in a knot over the Confederate Flag, this company kneejerked on the bandwagon and announced they would not produce any more Confederate Flags.
The name of this company was, and still is....
Dixie Flag Manufacturing.
(Irony is lost on stupid liberals)
OK, next all fireworks used to celebrate Independence Day must be made in the USA. Next, all ......
Kinda but different. This is an outright ban.
With a tariff, you can still import, but at a price. Thus a tariff is less likely to produce shortages, but still provides an advantage to the American producer.
And with a tariff, depending on how hight the tariff, some stuff that is very labor intensive and can't be easily automated, will remain overseas.
I buy Annin flags at Lowe’s and BJs Warehouse.
Good flags, reasonably priced.
