Unfortunately, this is far more sinister than derangement. It is a classic leftist tactic to react so extremely and loudly to everything someone on the opposite side says, that it is extremely difficult to speak up. When you know it is going to be uncomfortable, or even painful to speak out, it's natural to keep quiet. This is used everywhere by the left. Classrooms, public events, political events, at your place of employment, the media, entertainment. It takes guts to push back, as the volume will only increase. It's even more difficult when you are held to such a high standard as the FLOTUS.
