Some common sense being displayed right there. I’m sure some on this board will begin foaming at the mouth over this, but that’s fine.
It is amazing how many people on this board have such a nanny state view of the WOD and think that the USA will become a nation of drug-addled hippies if not for The Force Of Law.
As far as I am concerned the decision to voluntarily introduce something into one’s own body has no State Interest and CERTAINLY is not covered by the USC, except in the now all repealed IX and X Amendments.
Billions, perhaps trillions of dollars and lives lost in the WOD could be recouped if the feds would just repeal all the associated laws. The narco traficantes across the world would lose their status inside a few years, skating on what lucre they have squirreled away. The “refugees” from gang violence would not have any reason for fear.
But Nanny-staters (known by their cry of “you are a dopertarian”) gots to Nanny-state.
I used to be middle of the road on this, but the experience of Colorado is basically proving that those who are against legalization were correct.
I am firightened by the dramtic increase of babies with positive thc. But i guess thats great too. We will see in about 7 years.
