For your interest.
Soon, we will be like Colorado. Austin already is headed that way.
“Soon, we will be like Colorado. “
I predict the Federal Law of prohibition will be overturned before the 2020 election.
We will all be like Cheech and Chong.
Not me.
“Dave’s not here!”
Look @ my thumb, Pubbies . . .
Some common sense being displayed right there. I’m sure some on this board will begin foaming at the mouth over this, but that’s fine.
About time.
“We will all be like Cheech and Chong.”
Just like the legal right to own firearms makes America like the shootout at the OK-Corral!
Oh wait...
The ones that would be hurt the most are pharmaceuticals and drug cartels.
Not me, either.
Wow! This is a big deal!
Nice to see the Texas GOP coming on board regarding this issue.
Cannabis should be legal to have, to use & to grow if you so chose, IMO.
“We will all be like Cheech and Chong.”
Even Cheech and Chong were never like Cheech and Chong.
Those personalities were caricatures, greatly exaggerated for comic effect.
Very disappointed that the Republican Party feels the need to do this. My daughter, who lives in Colorado, is being very vocal standing over my shoulder reading this. She is saying doesn’t anyone remember the opium wars during the late 1800’s where everyone was “off their rockers “ using drugs forcing the government to step in and vote for legislation to regulate drug usage? I worked in a hospital during the 70’s (ugh, no Emily 1970’s not 1870’s) and half the people in the lab would either come to work stoned or go out in the parking lot on their 9pm break and get stoned. Fortunately there were enough of us old people left to actually do the work. The administration never did anything to resolve the problem and looked the other way. So all I can say is they had better do random, mandatory drug testing in all hospital and medical centers if this becomes the law of the land.
It is amazing how many people on this board have such a nanny state view of the WOD and think that the USA will become a nation of drug-addled hippies if not for The Force Of Law.
As far as I am concerned the decision to voluntarily introduce something into one’s own body has no State Interest and CERTAINLY is not covered by the USC, except in the now all repealed IX and X Amendments.
Billions, perhaps trillions of dollars and lives lost in the WOD could be recouped if the feds would just repeal all the associated laws. The narco traficantes across the world would lose their status inside a few years, skating on what lucre they have squirreled away. The “refugees” from gang violence would not have any reason for fear.
But Nanny-staters (known by their cry of “you are a dopertarian”) gots to Nanny-state.
Ding a ling our minds are dung.
