In Canada we used to call foreigners, DP’s, displaced persons.
Same thing in the US after WWII.
There were a lot of destitute Europeans from the war-damaged countries admitted legally.
The term wasn't used in a derogatory way - just a term that identifyied a specific category of immigrant.
Just heard Morning Joe says that “This immigration crisis is made up.”
He should come to Vegas and see the crisis here.
These people have gone way off the wall and I am getting so tired of all this hatred.

When grand daughters were little I gave them little Cloisonné boxes.
I told them that every night put all your troubles in one box and then in the other put everything in that you are thankful for and you will find that your Blessings outnumber your troubles.
They still have the boxes and now with school and jobs I remind them about the boxes.

As long as President Trump was able to make certain politicians and bureaucrats didn't waste or redirect the funds as they usually do.
I think one of the best ways to finance the wall would be for congress to enact an excise tax on payments (remittances) made from immigrants (legal and illegal) to family members and others in foreign countries.
But congress doesn't really want a border wall and doesn't want ro discourage immigration.
It is estimated that in 2016 about $69 billion dollars was sent to Mexico alone.

We must maintain a Strong Southern Border. We cannot allow our Country to be overrun by illegal immigrants as the Democrats tell their phony stories of sadness and grief, hoping it will help them in the elections. Obama and others had the same pictures, and did nothing about it!

80% of Mexico’s Exports come to the United States. They totally rely on us, which is fine with me. They do have, though, very strong Immigration Laws. The U.S. has pathetically weak and ineffective Immigration Laws that the Democrats refuse to help us fix. Will speak to Mexico!

These people are out of control. And to think, a DOJ employee has been front & center of this evil. Wasn’t ANTIFA deemed a domestic terrorist group?
I will say it again, the lack of holding anyone accountable & prosecuting lawlessness has emboldened the crazies. They face no consequences, so they just keep pushing their violent actions to further & further extremes.
I know we are supposed to “trust the plan”, but the longer it takes to execute & hold people accountable, the stronger the resistance & crazies become.
