EMS personnel are not administering those kind of doses. More like 5ml per 100 pounds of body weight. There is big difference between a sedative and anesthesia. But on your math you are correct about knocking you down and out. But then you need to be constantly managed to keep breathing........
or girls get vaccines for std's?....
That was a show!
While Jim wrestles with the bear, Ill study the action from a safe distance and deliver a powerful tranquilizer from my dart gun if he needs a little help. Jim has had long practice with tagging them for science, but sometimes they can unpredictable and deliver a nasty wound. ...Folks, sometimes you need a powerful friend standing by during those times when life sends you difficult problems to wrestle. Mutual of Omaha can be that powerful friend during those tough times. Talk to a representative soon about how we could help.
You are jumping from one subject to the other. I made no statement whatsoever about the EMS drugging. I made absolutely no comparison or analogy to it.
I was only responding to your statement “Teachers cannot make such a demand” regarding kids and Ritalin.
They can, they do, they usually have the support of the [equally unqualified] administrators and the [often] cherry picked doctors they insist the child be sent to for “evaluation”. If parents are not compliant they also often threaten to sic the gestapo like family services goons on them.
Know of it it, seen it. Case closed.
Hold the crap on. EMS drugged people because the Police said so? That is all kinds of felony charges and should cause loss of license for everyone involved. No to mention Civil Rights lawsuits.
Which is exactly what i said they are supposed to do
My hostility if you note was directed at cops playing doctor and end who listened to them
Look my daughter is an ICU nurse. I know what is proper protocol.
By the way I pray you son gets better soon. May God give you strength and peace
I know what is given in a hospital either under docs orders or under standard protocols. Not by end at the behest of a cop
The article is about end people. You tried to conflate two different issues
Never mind. This is the reason I rarely post anymore. I made a simple and clear response to a simple statement you made. I also made it clear that my response to your comment had nothing to do with the EMTs. Hence, I could not and did not conflate anything.
Don’t turn something simple into something complex.
You made a comment about teachers and Ritalin and I responded to that and that alone.
You compare two unlike things and then don’t like being allied out on it. That’s not my fault
Situation is forced without proper medical supervision
Situation B occurs because a parent chooses to send a child to a government school
Not even close to the same thing
The article and nt comments have been about the EMS and cops
Usually medications are given as directed by EMS and the ER doc on the other end of the radio.
Thank you. And I have met many ICU nurses this past year. The best of the best. Not only do they have to be the best at what they do, they have to deal with keeping everyone together emotionally. Even parents who are having a rough time with it.
Read the darned article...which is after all what started the thread
I understand what proper protocol is. That is NOT what was happening here Cops were telling Erma what to do....sadly they did it
Reminds me of the Utah fat boy who tried to bully a nurse into taking a blood sample without a court order. He arrested her. He found out that he aint in. Harge
