Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised FBI Director Christopher Wrays testimony on the Justice Department Inspector General report while discussing immigration and law enforcement in Scranton, Pennsylvania Friday.
I was real proud of Chris Wray, the new director of the FBI, yesterday for his statements on the IG report, Sessions told Lackawanna College. Were not going to be defensive. Were going to confront any problems, and were going to deal with them one-by-one, in a proper, fair, and appropriate way.
Were going to reaffirm and recommit ourselves to the first ideals of that great agency the FBI One of the greatest investigative agency, maybe the greatest in the history of the world, as far as Im concerned, he added. If we make a mistake, were going to confront it.
Wray defended the FBI Thursday in response to a scathing inspector general report that heavily criticized the actions of his predecessor in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Wray said the report only addresses a specific set of facts and the actions of a handful of officials. He says nothing in the report impugns the integrity of the FBI workforce as a whole.

Time for the feckless Sleepy Sessions to go.
Session has shills? I am thinking such folk have to be dem trolls, given the extent to which he’s favoring the left in all of this.
I guess he was a better do nothing legislator than someone that actually manages departments and people.
does anyone on this forum still support this idiot?
Is Trump his own enemy - he seems to have staffing problems.
There are at least three Sessions-loving diehards here.
I can think of three, who will not be named, by me.
Trump has a pretty long fuse, in spite of the reality-show trope of a weekly firing.
He acts like a man who expects that light accompanied by hope is the first and best remedy. That’s not something we are used to, where government agents pop out at best briefly into the light, and then dive back into their native darkness as soon as they can.
I don’t know what that IG report told you folks but it told me that no one involve in this will ever be behind bars. I mean NO ONE form Obama all the way down to the janitors at the FBI and the DOJ offices. I’m just totally downhearted pissed. Need to fire everyone In both those dept. in the top echelons. this includes Sessions, Rosenstein, Wray, and the IG inspector to as he is just another swamp creature. Make me dictator for just one day and I will clean up this whole bucket of scum.
Now that’s a hoot!

There are multiple ways to “love” Sessions. The way that Trump is doing it, might actually start working Trump’s way. Wray under Trump is the bigger story right now.
Trump was also complimentary of Wray so guess who the odd idiots out are on this one.
Doing that without getting a fatal public upchuck is the challenge in this restive America. It’s like the old saying: you and what army.
True, true...
I think the Trump approach is best even towards the “odd idiots out.”
This thing looks so uncannily like the spirit of Christ that I have to ask, is Donald a believer who doesn’t even half understand it theologically, because he’s so busy believing in what has dawned on him?
Now, if things remain stubbornly bad, a temple cleansing could be on the books, but that wasn’t Jesus’s opening career move. In fact He waited till the week He was going to be crucified, and then his public capital didn’t matter.
President Trump needs to do a thorough cleaning of the FBI by firing its upper level staff from Director Wray too all of his immediate Assistant directors.
At this point the attorney general may as well be fired as well. Since he thinks Wray is doing such a wonderful job.
The people of this country need to know that a leash has been put on the FBI to prevent this criminality that is destroying the organization’s credibility.
We also want equal Justice for all not a different system for the elites.
No visible leash yet, but they are within a force field of light now.
I think they are up to about 5%
5% of the FBI is bad. Most of them at the top tier. Wrays job is to promote the FBI brand back in to a more positive light. That is a very hard sell. There will be perp walks and many who flip.
