GOP Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) blasted the Trump administration's decision to halt military exercises with South Korea as part of the ongoing negotiations with North Korea.
"Suspending U.S.-South Korea joint military exercises is a mistake. Making unnecessary and unreciprocated concessions is not in our interests—and it is a bad negotiating tactic," McCain said in a statement on Thursday.
Trump announced after his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that the United States will stop “war games” with South Korea “unless and until” negotiations with the North go poorly.
Agence France-Presse reported on Thursday that the Pentagon had “suspended indefinitely” large-scale military exercises with South Korea.

I was going to say there should be a law, but really there shouldn't need to be one. A United States Senator should have enough common sense and respect for their constituents to resign under such a situation. Mitch McConnell himself has said John McCain has not voted or shown up in the Senate since December 2017. That is totally inexcusable of McCain to leave Arizonans with one Senator representing their state for so long. Everyone knows it too, but prominent people and politicians are afraid to say it because of the brain cancer thing.

When you look at the next scheduled exercise is not until next spring. So we have a lot of time between now and then. Smart move by Trump.
I doubt McCain has said or will say anything about this. My guess is he doesn’t even know it happened.

The nation would be better served if Senators were appointed by the States as originally intended, and they served the needs of the State.
McCain is brain dead. Let me see his statement from his own lips.
Part of the reason Trump can give our warriors a break and save millions while he’s at it is that Kim has been made painfully aware of our strengths and capabilities from recent talks and decades of such exercises/displays.....he gave Kim nothing but a bone with all the meat already chewed off it and got more incentive for Kim if he wants to be treated with any kind of public courtesy.
I have come to the conclusion that this is not McCain tweeting this but his wife or daughter. Brain cancer in its later stages is extremely difficult on cognitive skills. My sense is that Cindy or her daughter is making speeches in support of their wish to replace McCain when he dies.

Notice that he hasn’t been seen for months (since Dec/Jan?). That could be ANYONE saying that. Lately it’s all “McCain said in a statement”. How do we know it was him? Google the news on him for the last 6 months. It’s all “statements” and “according to a spokesman”. I’m not buying it.
My top theories:
1. He’s been arrested and held somewhere (Gitmo?)
2. He’s already dead. Or in a coma.
A lot more options, but those are my top guesses.
I find it highly suspicious that we have seen zero pictures and heard zero voice recordings of the guy who would trample anyone who got between him and a camera or microphone.
Remember when he was sporting that orthopedic boot? The one that switched to the other foot! People were speculating that it was hiding an ankle monitor. We’ve not seen him since.
