The writing includes many phrases like that that the writer probably heard their bosses say so they flattered them by including them in the report.
Big time. It’s funny to hear the boss in a meeting say, “This is the issue that I want to foot-stomp...” and hear the brown-nosers an hour later using “foot-stomp” all over the place. I’ve also seen it with “long pole in the tent” and “this is the important one of many irons in the fire”.
Probably because this is the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s modified redacted version also omitting certain summary notes regarding obstruction. This just snowballs from here.

When unaligned or moderately right people see that the bad guys continue to get away with everything and only conservatives get prosecuted, then they will lose faith in America.

Rosenffelon apparently declawed it as editor. Horowitz’s original version may still come out. I don’t really trust him either though.
