We’re living in Today; and lots of Jewish people DON’T accept Jesus as a personal Messiah, Savior, or spiritual leader.
There are a lot of devout Jews who are our political and ideological ‘confreres’ here on FR. It appears from this thread - and others that I’ve seen - that most of our FRiends of the Jewish persuasion generally tolerate threads like this with good nature; but I’m not sure that they find them truly ‘FRiendly’.
The thread seems deliberately intended to be contentious and provocative. I don’t think that is at all useful in this venue.
Maybe they do see it as contentious. Regarding that, there are those who only see the first five books of the Old Testament as legitimate, and all else unnecessary or misleading. So must I walk on egg shells around them, pretending the rest of the Old Testament as well as the New doesn’t exist? As Jesus said, you don’t light a lamp just to put it under a bowl. If someone doesn’t like it for some reason, it’s not my fault. Light doesn’t illuminate something that’s not there, anyway.

The Spirit listeth where He will- Jews turn to Christ all the time- You never know when God will lift the scales from someone’s eyes so they can see- and you never know just what God will use to do so- discussions have a way of remaining in a person’s mind for years until one day a light goes on- (IE the Spirit reveals the truth)
and i don’t see it as deliberately provocative- many Jews do infact reject Christ- they will tell you themselves that they do- The thread is simply stating facts- IF discussion come out of it- again- the Spirit listeth where He will
One of the reasons I am so happy with Judaism is that when the most learned Jews discuss different theologies, they teach that while for me as a Jew, the Christian holy trinity would be idolatry, but for a Christian, it is not. Christianity is the way, for Christians, but it isnt, for Jews. I am very comfortable knowing its ok to reach Gd your way and my way. There is no reason to convert you or argue theology with you. And I just mean Christians in general, not you, JT. I love both religions but only one is mine.
