ellen RATner — good one, RKT!
How did RATner get a spot in World Net Daily?
Not sure but there it is. Guess someone thought it would be fun to post more inane blathering from the left. Ellen RATner fits the bill. Came from ‘app frontpage commentary/opinions’
RATner is still breathing? She was always a source of toxic swamp gas. I figured she would have choked on her own fartrous fartoxide by now.
Perhaps now it should be G-6 + an adult?
Hey Ellen, the words of Mr. Roger’s song are “won’t you be my neighbor,” NOT “won’t you F@(K me over.”
I’m sure they sing along with the tune just fine, but the meanings are a definitely different, here in the real world!
Sorry Ellen, Mr. Rodgers always gave me the creeps!
Actually the G7 should be dumped.
It is a made-for-the-media event. The current G-7 leaders are heads of countries where the chief exexutive is not a dictator and cannot alone dictate most policy decisions. In that regard, it is the people to whom those leaders are responsible and those peoples other elected representatives that the G7 leaders have the highest priority to come to understandings with, not the other G7 leaders.
What is the media driven operation of the G7. It is a media driven agenda that claims what the G7 leaders priorities should be, and within that it is most of all the media driven priority that agreement itself, no matter what, is the highest priority.
The G7 leaders are assigned, by the media that drives any interest in the G7 event, the public roles of being nice to each other and look like they are all on their own “running the world”. To that end it is the media that then provides the public expectation that joint declarations of the G7 are thereafter going to become public policy of the their respective countries, which rarely has been the substantial or material case in reality. Promises made at any G7 event have rarely been wholly realized, even when some policy changes in the G7 states appeared to be moving in that direction.
Should members of the G7 states meet peridoically? Yes. Most of the time it should be one-on-one as each determines is beneficial to their state’s national interest. And yes, there are occasions where agreeing on some things is in the national interest to share that agreement with other states as well.
It is a mistake, a big mistake, to think that merely having such joint agreements, for their own sake, trumps any country’s national interest. But that result is what the media has indoctrinated the sheeple into think the result of any G7 meeting should be - agreements for merely the sake of agreeing. The pity is that the media has also indoctrinated the sheeple into thinking that merely agreeing for agreement’s sake is “leadership” and holding to a principled difference is not.
“Mr. Rogers” has been running our foreign policy for years, what are the results: endless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, $ 1.4 trillion in US exports and $ 2.1 trillion in US imports, a sassy bunch of pampered bureaucrats in the UN on US soil, ungrateful foreign aid recipients.
“the words of Mr. Rogers song are wont you be my neighbor”
Isn’t that strange? Little kids have nothing to do with who their neighbors are. Friends, yes.
“Sorry Ellen, Mr. Rodgers always gave me the creeps!”
Me too, but he had a wide, appreciative audience. On the positive side, he was not a bad example to the kids.
There is no profit in second guessing Donald Trump.
No one has been able to pull off this meeting with Kim. Now that Trump has done so, everyone wants to tell him how it must be done.
Ellen, try this:
A guy comes to me and says, “Hey, RWA. Can I borrow your lawnmower? I can’t start mine.”
“Sure, Guy. It’s all gassed up. Later I’ll take a look at yours.”
The next week, I go to him and say, “Hey, Guy. Can I borrow your weed wacker? I’m out of line for it.”
“OK, RWA. That will be $10 for an hour and $30 for the day. Oh, and thanks for fixing my mower.”
The trader principle requires a system of voluntary and free relationships. They don't have to be friends or neighbors.
This guy modeled himself after Mr. Rodgers.
