Wished? Um we didn’t have to do that. The only real growth sector during the 0 years was government hiring and food stamp usage. The recovery from the 2008 crash was rather slow to say the least. Then suddenly things started to pick up once the Donald arrived but that was just a coincidence.
"We" never hoped for America to fail, of for the economy to fail, we hoped for Obama and his "fundamental transformation of America" to fail. We wanted Obamacare, his "spread around the wealth", open border immigration and all his other crap to fail. We still wanted America to thrive.
I don’t think we were “hoping for the change under Obama” but just expecting it under Obama... and we were so rewarded.
