‘The Senate has not spoken on a Sessions ‘replacement’.’

Yes they have.

But ignorance is bliss, so they say.

How is it possible for the Senate to speak on a position that has no nominee? If Sessions is fired or resigns President will nominate a replacement. Then the Senate can do its thing whatever that might be. Nothing is cut in stone. Until the Senate confirms or denies a replacement, there would be an ‘acting’ Attorney General.
