Konstantin Kilimnik, 48, was charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice and obstruction of justice, the same charges Manafort faces.
The indictment was filed in Washington, where Manafort still faces five counts: conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements, and false statements.
Kilimnik, who lives in Moscow, is a long-time associate of Manaforts and is believed to have Russian intelligence connections.
The new indictment indicates the two men allegedly worked together to tamper with witnesses, allegations unveiled by Muellers team earlier this week.

Since Klimnik lives in Moscow, he can tell Mueller to go fly a kite.
Its a show trial indictment.
Soviet Show Trials have come to THE USA.
He may show up, like other Russians, to ask for discovery and fight his case. It going well for Mueller in those courts.
Can someone in Russia indict Mueller?
Where’s Tony Podesta, in Moscow as well?
Sounds like the Russian rocket scientist on Hogan’s Heroes.
This is getting ridiculous.
What’s next - Mueller is gonna indict Putin?
That’s what happens when a nation elects a Manchurian candidate and he installs commies in his administration.
Notice not a word on Manafort’s being jailed today? Looks like Mueller lost that battle and decided, “Screw the Judge, I will charge him with more crimes”.
The only Russian defendants who have showed up in court are corporations that hired U.S. law firms to defend them. No Russian national in these cases would be dumb enough to show up in a U.S. court.
Getting a Mueller indictment in Russia is the new “in” thing. Everyone wants one!
The Russians won’t do it. They might indict Mueller.
Do I smell desperation?
Wouldn’t it be fun if he showed up?
Russia has recently proven they can reach out and touch someone.
So Manafort and Podesta were in business awhile ago. Podesta is such scum I think he totally framed Manafort. That is Podesta’s and Hillary style.
Tony Podesta ended up shutting down his lobbying firm and laying off over a hundred people. Current whereabouts unknown.
As a general rule caww, it is not good to do business with that part of the world period. As with China, enabling the Russian government and empowering its economic handlers has had tremendous geopolitical implications. And not for the better as Syria, Iran, North Korea, and other troubled hot spots show.
The problem here is that there is clearly a bias in investigating Trump’s circle rather than Hillary Clinton and others who indulged their Kremlin and Russian-oligarch connections *while in office.*
.
Mueller is the one tampering with witnesses!
He desperately needs to be prosecuted.
