It's no secret that President Donald Trump loathes his attorney general, Jeff Sessions. The reason it's no secret is because on a weekly basis -- and sometimes even a daily basis -- the President is tweeting his distaste for Sessions.
Just when you thought the bullying couldn't get any worse -- Trump has repeatedly said he would never and should never have hired Sessions, called him "beleaguered," "very weak" and "disgraceful," and reportedly refers to the former Alabama senator as "Mr. Magoo" -- today happened.
The scene: A FEMA briefing in which Trump and a number of his Cabinet officials were seated around a table. For most of the Cabinet officials, Trump was effusive in his praise of the job they were doing. And then there was Sessions.
Here's what Trump said about each of the Cabinet members; I saved Sessions until last because, well, you'll see.
* Secretary of State Mike Pompeo: "Mike. Mike, another great job you are doing. Secretary Michael Pompeo. We're keeping him very busy. We're keeping you so busy. You're going to be flying -- a lot of flying in the next couple of weeks. But what a job you've done, and we appreciate it. The whole country appreciates it, Mike. Thank you very much." * Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin: "Steve Mnuchin. Steve, wherever you may be. He's working hard on those taxes and keeping the taxes down. We passed the greatest tax cut in the history of our country, and lots of other things. And thank you very much. Great. I think we say that we have had the strongest -- this is the strongest, from an economic standpoint, that our country has ever been. We're doing better in terms of business, in terms of unemployment. We've broken the record with

>>Trump should fire the swamp dwelling turd!

He will do it in a New York minute, just as soon as he gets a strong midterm election result.

No, it’s just pure fiction, like everything else CNN emits.
It’s just fodder for the potheads.
Jeff Magoo, the backstabbing rat bastard, is refusing to do his job and refusing to step down. He handed the keys to the DOJ to rosenstein and mueller and said see ya.
Jeff Sessions will go down in post American history as the biggest rat bastard traitor there ever was...
Sessions should quit and end the farce
Attorney General Jeff Sessions: “Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Thank you, Jeff. Thank you very much.” (11 words)
Eleven words. And five of those 11 are either Sessions’ name or his title!!! Trump was even capable of coming up with 91 nice words about Pruitt, his beyond embattled EPA administrator.
It’s like if you are at a big company dinner and your boss praises everyone else and then turns to you and says: “Chris Cillizza. He works here. Chris Cillizza.”
Ice cold.
I like it.
I’ll wait to read it some other place because I refuse to ever give CNN a hit.
I don’t know what kind of game Trump is playing here. He’s never been afraid of saying you’re fired!
This is the problem with the TRUST SESSIONS theory. It takes fact and decrees it fiction, and takes fiction and decrees it fact.
See post 8. This was real. It actually happened.
by the way, Irene Ryan had a twin sister . Met her at a conference she was coordinating.
Good, I hope you’re right.
Hmmm....
Wash Po, now the little tramp-guy writes for the NY Times...

Cillizza worked for *The Cook Political Report and Roll Call prior to joining The Washington Post.
*Prior to founding his newsletter in 1984, Cook worked on Capitol Hill for then-Senator J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., a Democrat from Shreveport who served from 1972-1997. Cook also worked for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Policy Committee
Hmmm....
Wash Po, now writes for CNN, I mean... not sure if that’s moving up in the world or a demotion of sorts...
Trump is playing the Not-Nixon game backstabber Sessions set him up for. Mueller is currently investigating Trump for obstruction for simply for maybe, possibly ***thinking*** about firing Sessions. If Trump actually steps into the trap neither the press nor DC will rest until Trump is destroyed.
Fantasywriter told me earlier that by firing Sessions, President Trump could open himself up to and obstruction of justice charge...
Could be...
Trump should fire Sessions and install an AG that will try Sessions for sedition.
Normally if your boss publicly calls you an incompetent, weak, ineffective leader who makes bad decisions most people with any degree of self respect would quit. But not ole jeff.
—
Not just self-respect... honor. Sessions obviously has none, or he would have quit long ago.
So, to some here on FR, suddenly CNN is an accurate source of info.
I’ll pass.
He anyway is in charge. Trump could appoint a different cabinet secretary to the position and avoid the senate... At least I’ve been told that.
Yep. Forget CNN and the article.
Instead, one can watch the video.
Trump describes everybody's accomplishments well.
