Former US attorney says Manafort will likely go to prison Friday

Former U.S. attorney Harry Litman said he expects President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, to be sent to federal prison by the end of the week.

“Prosecutors hate this, judges hate this and he’s going to have to bring his toothbrush to court on Friday because the statute says, if they find this happened, there’s a presumption that no circumstances exist that will get him safely there for trial,” Litman said Tuesday on MSNBC.

“So there’s the real prospect that he now goes to jail, never to leave even until the end of his sentence.”

Litman's comments follow days after special counsel Robert Mueller said in a court filing that Manafort attempted to tamper with potential witnesses while on pretrial release. Mueller on Monday asked the court to revoke or revise his release conditions in the wake of the court filing.

Litman, who now lectures at the University of California Los Angeles School of Law, condemned Manafort's alleged actions on Tuesday.

"…[T]his is the stupidest thing that a defendant can do, this sort of witness tampering,” he told MSNBC. “He’s looking at being in prison, which is a very sort of focusing event, by Friday,” Litman continued.

Joe DiGenova said Mueller has bragged that he loves to put people in prison. Joe was flabbergasted and said no decent prosecutor would ever say that.
Mueller needs to go down!

And that’s exactly what Trump should do. Immediately.

IF this happens, commute his sentence and give Manafort a full and complete Presidential pardon.

And stand back and watch. Watch the liberal heads explode.

Manafort is accused of WITNESS tampering with slim evidence.

A LOT different than Jury tampering, he merely attempted to relay factual information to his ACCUSERS.

Now this scumbag Jeff Sessions, not only did this MF unilaterally surrender control of the DOJ to the WASHINGTONIANS in a treacherous fashion, he unleashed this SOB dishonest POS MUELLER loose on all of Trumps allies and supporters via the mieskeit ROSENSTEIN.

They will be coming after all of us eventually.

Sessions has failed to prosecute any of the WASHINGTONIAN criminals for any reason, AND managed to give his Senate seat to the CPUSA.

Trump needs to man up and go PINOCHET or go HOME.

Time to breakout the backhoes, dig the holes and start cleaning up this mess.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Trump is Justice.

Trump is Punishment.

Time is running out.

I would laugh my head off if President Trump pardoned Manafort based on the prior FBI findings.

Agree! In Boston the FBI framed four innocent men. Mueller helped to keep them in prison until two of them died. I believe Mueller has a sadistic streak. Jmo.

Meanwhile, the Obama minions who aided and abetted Obama and Iran in sanctions busting and money laundering while lying to Congress are all walking around free as a bird.

Justice would be for Mueller and the rest of the coup plotters to be dealt with like coup plotters around the world. Oh well, sigh.

The pardon pen is warmed up...Time to take the wind out of mueller’s sails. Then scuttle his rat infested ship

“Mueller is trying to provoke: 1) Manafort into turning on Trump; and/or 2) Trump to pardon Manafort.”

Trump should pardon manafort and everyone else mueller is targeting. Then send in the marines, round up these coup conspirators and send them to gitmo.

Now this scumbag Jeff Sessions . . .

Given what we've seen thus far, calling little jeffy a scumbag may be a disservice to scumbags.

Could Manafort claim ex post facto if he spoke to someone before they were considered a witness? Did Mueller find out that Manafort spoke to someone and then declared that person to be a potential witness?

Manafort knows everyone who is anyone, so he'd have to become a hermit to avoid any risk. I know he was on house arrest while awaiting trial, so Mueller is trying to up the pressure by revoking his bail and jailing him. I would assume that a judge told Manafort to avoid contact with people who were involved as a condition of his bail, but what are the practical limits of that when Mueller has such an open-ended mandate?

“They will be coming after all of us eventually.”

That’s a fact. If Trump can’t wrest control of our rabid lefty controlled corrupt stasi state, it’s only a matter of time.

Without a trial?

When they revoke his parole? Yes.

What is it that Manafort did? I’ve lost track. It was something to do with something that happened a lot of years ago when he was working for Putin? Did he doublecross Putin and that is what got him in the Mueller crosshairs? It’s all so confusing.

Witness tampering. Allegedly.

For daring to speak with people who Mueller wanted to call as witnesses.

The legal term for that is witness tampering.

This is shocking.

Not so much, no.

I don't think he's on parole because he hasn't gone to trial yet. Aren't they revoking his bail/house arrest?

Anything this Islamo-traitor thug Mueller wants he gets from rubber stamp “so-called judges”. Makes me sick.

You're right. I was thinking of revoking his bail. It's been a long day.

There’s no property in prosecution witnesses. Only hope he had an investigator do the witness investigation rather than he himself which would be the ultimate in idiocy.
