Winning!

National companies do NOT pay tariffs.
Mexico already charges 4 to 1 high tariffs.

The people are now learning how tariffs work and succeed.
It may appear counter intuitive but not really.
The USA has been screwed by Tariff Free Trade since 1913. Let the learning begin and never vote otherwise.

Your suggestion is simple and workable.

“Just assess any electronic transfers out of America at 25 %.”

In couple of months the elite white thugs who rule Mexico would be on their knees negotiating.

What do we buy from Mexico?

A lot of the heavy stuff that used to be made in the US or Canada ... cars, trucks, appliances, electronics

A lot ... and that's the problem with NAFTA

Tomatoes, Wrangler Blue Jeans, furniture, kitchen cabinet doors, beer, Tequila, picture frames, auto parts. These are just some of the products I personally know of. There are 1000’s.

There are a lot of manufactured wood products made in Mexico from lumber that is produced in the US. We(my company) ship the lumber(mostly southern Pine and Ponderosa Pine) and they ship back finished products.

I know of a company that makes picture frames just across the border from San Diego. We sell them pine lumber. They ship back to the US and Canada picture frames.

I also know that there are huge companies in Mexico that make kitchen cabinet doors. They ship them to the big cabinet companies in the US where they are assembled.

Produce? That is a win. Thousands of Americans would love their own produce farm. Quit favoring Oligarchy agriculture using forced slave labor.

Slaves crap on crops.
Family owners produce better quality.

What do we buy from Mexico? Almost all your produce, especially in winter. Cars. Clothes. Much from China through Mexico. Sugar. Cement. And on and on.

Your overlords sent almost the entire manufacturing and assembling industries to Mexico, much of which was taken then to China.

Fact is, America could have one huge single farm owner and everybody else are slave pickers.
“Guest” pickers are called Plantations.

Better to embrace liberty and family farms.

>>>What do we buy from Mexico?

A lot of oil for one thing. Overall, we import a higher percentage of the oil that we use than is the case with steel. I anticipate we will soon have tariffs on all crude imports in the name of national security.

Didn’t Makers Mark lower their proof(alcohol content) a couple years ago so they could make the production go farther? This was because there was such a huge demand for their product.

I think it’s more likely to be on things they buy from us.

But as for what they export to us, there’s various foods, drinks, finished good including clothing, cars, and TVs ... lots of stuff.

TVs: Samsung makes some of their sets in Mexico ... I know because I look to see if there are options besides buying anything made in Communist China, which I avoid if at all possible.

Shutdown one or two north-bound truck lanes. Let their stuff go bad in the traffic jam.

Sending cash south by wire should be taxed and/or funds set-aside until written proof of the income tax payments being made.
