That’s a lot of words to avoid giving me the direct quote. Your theories are fine but not what I’m after. Please produce the exact quote, with a link, in which Giuliani said the same thing self-serving Newt said.

Thank you.

It is not about his answers - it is the spin they make out of it. Rudy is smart, but he appears oblivious to their gotcha games and as such, he is too willing to enter into speculative banter on things that are not on the table.

His job is to represent the President and go on the offense. He keeps deviating away from his script.

A good offense would be to put legitimate questions that illustrate the networks lack of curiosity about the collusion of the Clintons to the interviewer in defense of his client. Think of it like the idiots we see interviewed on college campuses where they are told that Trump did something that Obama did and they act with revulsion and then surprise when they are told it was actually Obama. This is effective and would likely make more viewers question everything else the networks are telling them. A sizable majority of our country does not know about the scandals the networks and prior administration covered up. They did not trust her, but few of them know why. This is a role Rudy could play very well because people trust the Mayor, but he keeps going down rabbit holes and appears ill-prepared to me.

Is he trying to take over Mclame’s place as the maverick?

I’m not going to bother giving you a quote - watch the MSM coverage. Sometimes what people do not say says more than what they say.

Rudy fell for a set-up question and created another ridiculous spin cycle in the news. From recollection he was asked if the President could pardon himself. It is a law school question. The correct answer would have been to point that out and say there have been no discussions about that nor should there be because he did not do anything wrong. Instead, the Mayor dove into the rabbit hole and who cares if he was right or wrong? It is irrelevant and illustrates that the MSM is convinced (and they try to convince their viewers) that the President did something wrong.

I don’t care about the answer and I suspect Rudy viewed it as an academic exercise, but the bottom line is that it did not serve the interest of his client nor is it relevant to Trump. Every thing the MSM asks him has only one purpose - to make Trump look bad. Period. Rudy acts like they are his friend and they are not - they hate the man he is supposed to represent.

Joe DeGenova can be over the top at times, but look how passionately he defends Trump and how aggressive he is in response to stupid questions. Rudy should take some lessons and drop the whole “aw, shucks” routine if he is going to be the public point person.

Okay, I get it. Giuliani never said what he was falsely alleged to have said.

Since that was my sole point, the case is now closed.

I don’t remember verbatim what he said, but I watched the interview on youtube. It was an academic exercise question about the constitution and since a sitting President cannot be indicted (per DOJ) it is irrelevant.

I like Rudy and always have, but he is not the best point person right now and that was the reason I chimed in. He is capable of great things when he stays on point, but he appears unfocused and ill-prepared right now. I was very disappointed that DeGenova was somehow conflicted - he truly gets it and leaves no wiggle room. I, like others here, want more offense and it is hard to do that when you keep having to go back and clarify your answers.

I read Giuliani’s comments. He did not say what was falsely alleged.

You, of course, are free to opine about anything under the sun. But I had only that one, specific question, and it’s been answered.

This is a perfect illustration of why it is Newt never got a job with the administration.

Stating that he could pardon himself is also a statement of power.

The dissonance between “he can’t do that” and “he hasn’t been charged with anything” is bound to explode snowflake heads.

this is trump trolling the demacrat party and the media.....Trump knows pardoning himself would be political suicide. what you have to look at is what reaction he is trying to get from the media and other democrats. at this point he is prepping the narrative that the media has so that certain people will have been tricked into taking positions that when certain information comes out will be problematic for them.

Newt thinks a republican house would impeach and a republican senate would convict a republican president for exercising his constructional rights? It is not hard to tell that Newt has no law degree.

POTUS was talking about the pardon powers of the President not suggesting he needed pardoning

No, no you have it all wrong. Trump was declaring himself above the law, a dictator. </s>

Partner, we need to shout this from the top of our lungs.

NG has turned into a Rino, yet he did turn in a budget to then President Clintoon. The last Speaker of the People's house to do so.

Paul Ryno and Mitch McConJob are afraid that President Trump will do a solid job as our POTUS and all for $1 dollar a year salary.

What in the world is wrong with these Pubbies. Paul Ryno and Mitch McConJob could stop the spending of our hard earned dollars by stopping this traitorous treachery by Mueller and the Rats.

We just had 8 years of $12 Trillion in Deficit Spending by that America Hating Piece of Work Imposter Mooselimb Obama. Have folks conveniently forgotten this puke and joke as our POTUS.

We already know that Mueller and his Rat lawyers are getting paid big $$$ to come up with 0 Crimes by President Trump. Is this all the Rats have for this election in 2018??? The Rats and their liberal left winged MSM will lose big time in the 2018 mid year elections.

We have already done the math and Mueller at $1200 an hour is getting way to comfortable on the job with this kind of salary. Did the criminal Rod Rosenstein propose this type of salary for the Special Prosecutor!!!

All Freepers and decent Americans are so P.O.ed at these Rinos in Congress right now. It is so painful to hear and bear these Rinos.

Giuliani noted that the political ramifications of a self-pardon could be severe. Giuliani told NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” that “the president of the United States pardoning himself would just be unthinkable. And it would lead to probably an immediate impeachment.”

This is why newt didnt get the VP request. What the hell is Newt doing sometimes? Is he looking to run in 2 years? Why Newt. Why.

He is on the View right now trying to convince them that Obama didn't create this great economy for Trump.
