Ronald Reagan would be 'horrified' by Donald Trump's America, daughter Patti Davis believes.
Davis says the 40th President would hate Trump's anti-immigrant stance, his attacks on the free press and his 'caustic, destructive language'.
Reagan would be equally 'appalled' at Congress's failure to stand up to a President 'who seems ignorant of the Constitution', she added.
There is a difference between immigration laws and cruelty. He believed in laws; he hated cruelty.'

What is wrong with people? Have never seen anything like this in my life...the total hatred of President Trump. Personally think he’s the best president EVER!
We can disagree.
Trump is as he has proclaimed from the get go a counter puncher. He reacts to attacks rather than taking the “high road”.
I believe you would be hard pressed to note even one claimed racist, bigoted or homophobic statement made by Trump which was anything more than hyper exaggeration by liberals
She has said the same about every Republican since the 90s. Big whoop.
So I wonder if she came out with the same statement about Barrack Obama. Does she think he would have been horrified by him and his policies? That’s the real test of her beliefs.
Correct, she is beyond a broken record.
POTUS Ronald Reagan was horrified numerous times by YOUR rude, hateful blatherings, Patty. I think he’d admire many of Trump’s ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Ronald Reagan would be ‘horrified’ by his daughter, Patti Davis
Didn’t she used to criticize Reagan during his admin?
Wow, sounds like Reagan was a liberal democrat.
I thought Patti was terrified by her own father’s conservatism.
Anyway. Yawn! So what. Who cares what a tired, old hippie thinks.
President Trump would be horrified at his kids comments.
Michael Reagan remains the best example of someone who understood and loved his Dad - despite not being blood-related....he know that his Dad is smiling about Trump and wishing he had been a bit more “obnoxious” to our enemies and the Dems in particular.
She just wants more CNN interviews.
Her father said “Never speak ill of another Republican”.
I don’t agree that he’d be horrified by Trump. But if he was, he would have kept his mouth shut (unlike Romney, McCain, et.al.)
He’d be horrified at you, Patti.
Bill Clinton insists he doesn’t owe Monica Lewinsky an apology HE’S a victim (tr)

Former President Bill Clinton insisted in a weekend interview that he doesn’t owe a personal apology to Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern whose adult life has been defined by their inappropriate sexual affair and the global scrutiny that followed.
‘No,’ he told NBC in an interview airing Monday on the ‘Today’ show. ‘I do not I have never talked to her. But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry.’
‘I apologized to everybody in the world,’ Clinton said, implying that was enough.
And the flustered former president, more famous for his Don Juan-like seductions than for his policy legacy, portrayed himself, not Lewinsky, as history’s victim in the mass-media’s retelling of the 1990s saga.
A lot of the facts have been omitted to make the story work,’ he declared, ‘I think partly because they’re frustrated that they got all these serious allegations against the current occupant of the Oval Office and his voters don’t seem to care.’
And Clinton complained in the interview that he left the presidency financially ruined because of the costs associated with the legal consequences of his actions.

Former President Bill Clinton appeared uncomfortable as NBC reporter Craig Melvin confronted him with the legacy of the Monica Lewinksy scandal, in an appearance on the “Today” show that aired Monday.
“Nobody believes I got out of that for free,” Clinton claimed. “I left the White House $16 million in debt.”
