Washington (CNN)

President Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said Sunday that the President should not testify before special counsel Robert Mueller because "our recollection keeps changing."

Giuliani made the comment when asked about fellow Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow's contradictory remarks on whether the President weighed in on a statement put out about his son Donald Trump Jr.'s controversial 2016 meeting with Russians at Trump Tower.

IMO, this is intentional unpredictability. Just like President Trump does with our enemies.

Rudy is making me increasingly nervous with his cavalier remarks like this.

Had thought he would have made an excellent Attorney General.

Now, I have serious reservations about his judgment and discretion.

Sessions has proven to be nothing more than a traitor as well as thoroughly incompetent.

Not keen on Chris Christie either.

Wondering who actually would be a superior AG for President Trump at this point???

Any suggestions???

The most indiscreet lawyer I have ever heard about, or just dangerously senile

“Wondering who actually would be a superior AG for President Trump at this point???”

Trey Gowdy - No
Andrew Napolitano - No
Ted Olsen - No
Any GOP member of the Senate - No
Mark Meadows - No. He is not an attorney.
Devin Nunes - No. We need him in Congress.
Joseph DiGenova - Likely cannot be confirmed by the Senate.
How about Representative Jim Jordan? True conservative, seems fearless, and is an attorney.
Representative Ron DeSantis might be another good pick. Member of the Freedom Caucus. Military lawyer. Harvard law grad so he knows how is opponents think. Member of the House Judiciary Committee and the subcommittee on the Constitution.

Of those you listed, I really like Joseph DiGenova.
It was disappointing when plans for he and his wife, Victoria Toensing, fell through to advise President Trump on dealings with the Witch Hunt.

I’d like to see Jim Jordan become the new Speaker of the House and Ron DiSantis hopefully will be the next governor of Florida.

Rudy isn't saying anything that hasn't been ran past the boss.

I'm reminded of Scott Baio's comment about Trump...

"He's (Trump) messing with them. He's from Queens. That's what we do."

Giuliani also, I think.

He is damaging the credibility of the administration with his inconsistent and contradicting statements. He is confused and way past his prime.

I love it - saying what we all know - as time goes by and other events intervene, we may not always say the exact same words when describing a past set of events...bump anything a year and more old against a transcript and you will have “lied and/or misled” ....

Why are they asking Trump to testify.. “He’s not the target”. They have one goal and it is to destroy Trump, and with that, he must NOT put himself in a seat for them to get to him to set him up via trickery and lies.

>> He’s actually correct on that <<

Agreed.

But IMHO, a competent lawyer wouldn't go on national TV and say something like that -- in advance -- about his client. It's just plain stupid in terms of PR.

(After a conviction, however, a good lawyer could and probably should raise the point upon appeal.)

>> Rudy is taking charge. I think it’s great! <<

If you and I are ever engaged in a courtroom legal dispute against one another, I can only hope your lead lawyer is somebody exactly like Rudy.

Cleary, Rudy’s “job” is to muddy the waters and obfuscate as they don’t want Mueller and the media defining the agenda and getting any traction.

When are we going to start insisting Clinton be investigated?
