The president has repeatedly attacked the Mueller probe for racking up millions of dollars in expenditures, doing so most recently this week after the Justice Department reported that the special counsel's office had spent roughly $16.7 million on expenses in just over a year of investigation.
"A.P. has just reported that the Russian Hoax Investigation has now cost our government over $17 million, and going up fast. No Collusion, except by the Democrats!" Trump tweeted Friday.
But that number is dwarfed by the amount required to pay for the president's numerous trips to the "Winter White House," which Washington Post and Politico analyses have estimated to cost taxpayers on average between $1 million and $3 million dollars per trip.
As of Dec. 26, Trump had spent 39 days at Mar-a-Lago in 2017. Trump took his 17th trip to the property in April, according to Town and Country magazine.

I would add he is not taking a salary as POTUS and I bet he does not charge the government for lodging or meals will at Mar-a-Lago.
I do not remember Obama hosting leaders of other nations on the golf course.
I do remember that several times the Trumps met with other nations’ leaders in Florida.
The important pint that is missed is that even on the golf course in florida, Trump is at home.

What a flimsy straw man that person made in an attempt at justification...it was said to get the average dope watching to think the $17 million is only going into the investigators paychecks/benefits that they were going to get paid anyway. A counter response (learned from the left) that the $17 million could have been to help children in schools instead of wasting it on a fake investigation - would have been more plausible.
Does President Trump WORK during those visits? I’m guessing he does. So these are less “vacations” than they are changes of scenery. And unlike the swamp creatures, President Trump probably finds the stench of DC offensive and needing a breath of fresh air.
He OWNS Mar-a-Lago....it’s a HOME for him! The HUGE expense is the SECURITY DETAIL for him because most Democrats want to kill him!
