Gowdy claimed that the FBI's use of spies against the Trump campaign was perfectly proper, but multiple reports indicate he never even saw the full records Congress subpoenaed on the matter.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) recently suggested the FBI did nothing wrong when it used at least one government informant to secretly collect information on Donald Trumps presidential campaign. Public reports indicate, however, that Gowdy never even reviewed the relevant documents on the matter subpoenaed by Congress. In fact, a spokeswoman for Gowdy told The Federalist that the congressman doesnt even know what documents and records were subpoenaed by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

And he wants Session’s job?
Between Trey and Lindsay, I can’t tell you who is worse. South Carolina you can do better than these idiots.
.
Gowdy has AG envy. He does not want to burn his bridges with FBI Director Wray.
Has Trey decided to go full-on McCain?
“What you are Mr. Gowdy is a great disappointment...”
Gowdy is a paid political whore. I assure you.
My thoughts exactly.
There has to be something behind such an abrupt change.
You can’t deny that Howdy Gowdy and Precious Johnny aren’t the prettiest pair of queer bait you ever did see.
The deep state has something to blackmail Alfalfa with. Just like Roberts, and maybe Sessions.
Nobody is perfect. No man or woman is. We all have worts and and a past we are not proud of. They got him
How about the goofball Angetine lover Mark Sanford and his recent anti-Trump comments.
I thought SC was a bastion of liberty.
So so corrupt in this nation. See no way out of it. We will be Europe one of these days.
SC is another open primary state.
Gowdy is protecting someone or people, including, perhaps himself. Don’t be surprised to find out that Obama informed a “select” number of GOP Congress critters about the spying operation once underway. This is an Obama “insurance” policy, so later he could say, if necessary, “hey, everything was according to the book and I informed members of the opposition party”. Either Gowdy was one of those informed or one of his good buddies (Senator Graham?) and he can’t now pretend outrage, as he knows the truth of “who knew what” will eventually spill out. Of course when it does he will say he was not truthfully informed about what was going on, which may well be the truth.
It’s not abrupt. He’s been talking a good game for years and years, but over the past decade he’s been less and less doing things. Just talking. And his talking game has been slowly getting worse.
gowdy stinks of a coup conspirator.
Makes you wonder since nobody else who received the briefing at the same time has said anything similar. In fact, on Face the Nation: “@RepMarkMeadows on DOJ briefing congressional leaders this week: No documents were shown. We are hopeful this will happen in coming days as long as we protect sources and methods.”
