'Reparations Happy Hour' invites white people to pay for drinks

In Portland, Oregon, organizers of the “Reparations Happy Hour” invited black, brown and indigenous people to a bar and handed them $10 bills as they arrived, a small but symbolic gift mostly funded by white people who were asked not to attend.

So if you were a child of mixed parentage, half white and half black, would you only get $5. You can discriminate by race if you own a bar but you cannot discriminate by sexual preference if you own a bakery. Want to find out when this event occurs again as I will be there wearing my MAGA hat.

None of my even distant family owned slaves and my great grandfather fought for the Union in the Civil War (Company A, 181st Ohio Infantry). How about just a word of thanks...I’ll forego a free drink.

My family lost members in the un-Civil War helping to free slaves. Their ancestors should be paying my family for our loss. Two of my great grandfathers were casualties.
