Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in a new interview that parts of the infamous Steele dossier of alleged ties between President Trump's campaign and Russia have been corroborated by subsequent U.S. investigations.
In an interview with Salon, the Obama-era intelligence chief stressed that while the most "salacious" claims in the dossier have not been proven to be true, "more and more" of the dossier's other claims about the president and his allies' ties to Russia have been corroborated over time.
"Some of what was in the dossier was actually corroborated -- but separately -- in our intelligence community assessment, from other sources that we were confident in," Clapper said.
"The salacious parts, no. That’s never been corroborated," he added. "It would appear to me that as time has gone on more and more of it has been corroborated, but I can’t actually give you a percentage."

He told Megan McCain on ‘The View’ that he didn’t lie he answered the wrong question.
Megan MCCain asked, “What you’re referencing though ... when you’re talking about James Snowden blowing the whistle on the NSA illegally spying. And in 2013 when you were asked about it, you said no, so that is a lie.”
“No, it isn’t a lie. I’m sorry. It isn’t a lie. I was thinking about something else, another program. I can get into the technical details. He was asking about the metadata program and the euphemistic way he asked about it, I didn’t break the code,” Clapper said.
Brennan and Clapper are in panic mode based upon their actions and broad comments of this past week. They see that it is all unraveling and are trying to smokescreen to cover their boss.
However, Valerie Jarret and the little gay boy are becoming very obviously the director-originators of the whole mess.

of course not however the question remains since he apparently lied under oath has he been indicted before the statute ran out and if not indicted why not? no reasonable prosecuter?

That’s a sad truth. But if conservatives can be publicly hounded for unprovable rumors from decades ago, why should Clapper ever escape the same treatment from conservatives for this?

Voters don’t just flip because someone is posting the truth about Hillary Rotten Clinton on their facebook page and twitter. All of her scandals were known about for years, and no one found out 2 weeks before the election.
Many of the ‘flipped’ voters were men and women who had lost their jobs during the obama fiasco and weren’t willing to vote for H-> .. who would continue the same policies.
