Most of her “criticisms” are petty, at best. My favorite is the use of “OMG” by an English and grammar snob — priceless! Thankfully, she’s retired.
In response to Trump’s capitalization of Nation as a proper noun...
>> OMG this is WRONG!
Ironic.
The retired ‘English teacher’ is an idiot.
"OMG this is wrong!"
OMG Trump capitalized the word "Nations" in the letter!
That's some picky poop. LoL.
That letter looks fine to me! She is most likely angry that Donald Trump, and NOT a criminal alcoholic lesbian, is OUR PRESIDENT!!!! :) !!!!!!
Those comments are opinionated and ignorant.
She claims that the phrase, “I Signed into law”, should include a “specific agency”.
Once again, proof that liberals are uneducated idiots.
This President usually keeps the “I’s” to a minimum.
I clerked for a prolific and revered professor who wrote books. We edited each other’s writings. He and I were both educated much earlier than this critic who seems only half right to me.
Thank you for posting that.
I tried to download it from "The Hill" site several times, unsuccessfully.
It may have been taken down for the usual reasons. Just wish it had been scanned so it was legible.
This delusional teacher is clueless... She doesn't realize that many forum members, among others, fail deliberately to capitalize certain names and nouns as editorial comments; among them :
teachers
progressives
dimocratics
dimocrats
feminists
losers
muslims
koranimals
elected criminals
social warriors
antifa
msm
black power
And many others too numerous to mention.
Her letter was, if nothing else, humorously entertaining.
Oh Lord.
She has hardly any real corrections. The only valid ones are all about capitalization, along with nothing but pointless remarks about the use of words.
Worst of all is her OMG at the bottom.
And her claim that it does not address her request.
Oh I am real sure she graded it the same as she graded her students. Not. I have seen what passes for mid school and even high school writing now.
I see errors in all sorts of business and political writing now, some of the things we learned are no longer expected. She is just trying to stir the pot because of her hatred of Trump and her support of the dims. Many of the dim political leaders cannot speak a coherent sentence, pretty sure they can’t write a proper letter. I would love to see her correct a letter from say Maxine Waters.
Thanks for the post of the “corrected” letter. Comments:
1/ Yvonne Mason holds a BA in English from a non-accredited school - St. Andrew’s Presbyterian [ex Community] College in NC. 41% of all who apply are accepted. (”We gwine ta’ Collie!”)
2/ Her “corrections” to the President’s lecture focus on two areas: The excessive use of upper case letters, and the use of “I”. For all her criticism, she sure uses a lot of it on Facebook.
3/ Her post of 2/28 includes a single sentence which begins with a rather awkward word order and ends in a preposition.
4/ Her post of 3/15/17 is an image of Caesar being stabbed to death.
I could go on. Instead, here’s a quote:
Everywhere I go, I’m asked if the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don’t stifle enough of them. Mary Flannery OConnor
