The letter sucks. Whoever wrote it should not be writing letters for the President.

If the teacher knew jack squat about grammar, she’d know that “improper” capitalization isn’t necessarily improper in words such as State and President. One would right, “the next state over” and “the president of the company called me.” However, it is proper grammar (though not mandatory in modern, U.S. English) to say, “the State thus reserves the right” and “the President of the United States.”
And I’m amazed Roll Call doesn’t also know that.

I’ve said for some time that Trump is not well served by the people he has working for him.
Because for her winning a few points among her leftist friends is worth trashing some young person who is just starting out in their career. I wonder how she would feel if other people treated young employees like that because they disagreed with the policy of top management.
I guess she would be OK with telling some kid at Starbucks what a failure they are for working there because if you disagree with the politics of their CEO. Somehow that strikes me as just plain rude.
I would expect DJT would prefer that correspondence under his name not be so riddled with errors. megamillionaire real estate tycoons don’t usually like looking sort of dumb.

Actually it is not riddled with errors. The capitalizations that the retired english teacher doesn't like are actually straight from the federal style guides. And letters from Barack Obama use the same style. I don't remember this particular teacher having any complaints then.
And I don't remember the teacher complaining about Hillary Clinton's capitalization in her resignation letter either:
"It has been a privilege to lead such a dedicated and skilled team of Foreign Service Officers and Civil Servants at the State Department and USAID."

I like some people on the Internet who correct people as if they're comments are being graded or it's a test. Most the time it's really unnecessary to point that out as most get their point regardless.
If someone is paying me to get it right, then I'll make double effort to make sure it's right. Otherwise, ferrrget it.☺

Looking at her corrections , I would have to say she is just being Petty and Bitter.
I frequently Capitalize the word Nation when I am speaking of our Great Nation.
Sometimes when I use the word state, I also capitalize that word when speaking of my Great State.
Specific Rule? Hey lady, if you want the Specific Rule, go read the legislation, or are you to illiterate or lazy?
