I’m 72. Been eating this stuff all my life! Too late to worry, I guess?
I am afraid, you are terminal.
“Im 72. Been eating this stuff all my life! Too late to worry, I guess?”
I had an in-law who lived well into his 90s who was a farmer most of his life. He was a huge man (though not really overweight, just big) and ate a large amount of bacon and eggs every day. He was still throwing bales of hay by himself into his 70s. I recall this because at one family get together some of the men went to “help” him move some bales and it took at least two of them to manage to move a single bale. He was doing it by himself.
I’m not saying processed meats are good for our health, but maybe other factors play a role, such as level of physical activity. Even people who spend several hours each week in the gym can not compete with a farmer who works from sun up to sun set most days.
Alcohol also has a downside but in moderation may help cleanse the brain of toxins and reduce the chances of dementia. I think the most harmful component of alcoholic beverages is probably the sulfites. These can be removed with trace amounts of hydrogen-peroxide.
