The Boy Scouts will reportedly provide condoms at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree.
The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to “ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and [International Service Team staff] at a number of locations on the site.”
The 2019 World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia from July 21 to Aug. 1. The theme is “Unlock a New World.”
The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event. The Boy Scouts are co-hosting this year’s program with two other scouting organizations, Scouts Canada and the Scouts Association of Mexico.
Andy Chapman, vice chairperson of the World Scout Committee, said the co-hosts are working to implement requirements previously laid out by the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
“The World Scout Jamboree organizing team has worked with the co-host countries to align these requirements, which have been in place for the past two World Scout Jamborees, in a manner that is respectful to local laws and preferences,” Mr. Chapman said in a statement.
News of the condom requirement comes months after the Boy Scouts announced it would allow girls to become scouts.
Last year, the scouting organization also changed its policy to permit membership on the basis of gender identity, meaning girls who identified as boys could become scouts.
And in 2015 the Boy Scouts ended its blanket ban on openly gay troop leaders.
John Stemberger, chairman of the board of Trail Life USA, an alternative scouting organization, said it is “not clear how far down the rabbit hole the Boy Scouts will continue to fall.”

How can a group with such a long history and good reputation do this?
VERY poor leadership. And PC (Political Correctness) lawsuits.
We need a total house cleaning in our judicial system.

Do the condoms qualify them for “merit badges”?

Which is why MY children will NEVER have ANYTHING to do with scouting.
What “BOY”? Simply say “Scouts of America”/BSA. Huh? What’s the “B” for? And, didn’t we read the “GSA” will not reciprocate?
Yep, Recreational Sex Badge.
Or the coveted How Well Do You Really Want To Know Your Scout Master Badge.

I think Aldous Huxley gave us a preview of that kind of society.
It is an unsettling, loveless and even sinister place.
Sad day. Boy Scouts are supposed to be about values.
Providing condoms is condoning the sex.
Liberals are a disease on society.
Am grateful that my Scouting years were back when it still meant something positive (and sane).
My troop job is to be host and chairman at the Eagle Scout court of honor.
The quality of youth receiving the award has not diminished. America is a better place because of their efforts.

That used to be a joke. Now the BSA is a joke.
They aren’t the “Boy Scouts”. They are “Scouts”.
The Boy Scouts of America was killed from within by their feckless adult leadership.
America is weaker for this.
The Boy Scouts were always a Progressive organization with much support by the Government.
At the beginning, Progressive goals were very close to the goals of existing western society. Thus, the Boy Scouts served admirable purposes for many decades.
The weakness in the foundation showed as the Progressive goals shifted as “progress” was made. Progressive goals always move and shift. It is built into the foundation of the ideology.
As the Progressive goals moved away from defense of country, and fostering a strong citizenry, to erasing all sexual differences in the search for absolute “equality”, the Boy Scouts were vulnerable. They relied on Government services and money.
So they could be extorted into these insane situations.
Progressives assume that they are god and that human nature is infinitely malleable.
It is showing in the current social engineering of the Boy Scouts.
Aldous Huxley was a better prophet than George Orwell.
It is Brave New World we are sliding into, not 1984.
So at least when your son gets raped by a gay/pedophile scout leader, it will be safe sex.
