Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has told a court he is ready to move ahead with the sentencing of former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos.
“The parties respectfully request that the Court refer this case for the preparation of a pre-sentence investigation report,” the filing from Mueller's team reads.
A pre-sentence report is used to help a judge prepare for a possible sentence, providing information on the individual's criminal history, cooperation with authorities, as well as other details that will aid the judge's decision.
The latest development suggests Mueller's team is looking to kickstart the sentencing process.
Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI last year and has cooperated with Mueller's team, according to court filings cited by ABC News.
He has also been free on bond since pleading guilty.

The “famous” Mueller (who is really more resembling a piss poor Stasi agent than a top Federal law enforcement hero— a loser, pure and simple (and, imho, highly motivated by the clinton/obamaumao mafia to prosecute all this to protect his OWN greasy role in Uranium 1- item: where is his foreign bank account— is it Panama Papers jungle or is it Credit Suisse illegal as hell- the man is a DIRTY and incompetent cop, as are his buddies, Rosenswine, and Commodus Comey- (Commodus being the name Caligula gave to his co-Consul, his horse).

You are correct. I heard that the deep state actors appealed to his vanity by offering him $3K to write and give a speech in England on some foreign policy subject, he bit, and they reeled him in.
A shame. Still waiting to see any democrat names awaiting sentencing.

The FACT that the highest officer rep for Australia stooped to work a low level adviser to a presidential candidate tells us this was an obamaroid spying scam financed in part by the criminal hilbitch.
He was a very small fish with an ego and a dream to actually be somebody, but that was used to entrap him.
As I type I am watching Hannity and Victoria Toensing is on laying out the Honey Trap that was used to filter the fake information to Papadopoulis and then the set up at the same time by that Australian, who is a major donor to the Clinton Foundation.
Whether or not Papadopoulis is a wannabe who let his ego get him in over his head he was completely set up by the Clinton/FBI spy/disinformation campaign.

A further detail I read today is that Trump didn’t have a foreign policy team in Spring of 2016. I don’t even think he had been nominated, although he was emerging as a leading contender. Someone asked him for some foreign policy names, and he said Page and Popadopoulis to give two names as placeholders. That made them targets.
Just something I read... can’t guarantee it’s true, but it sounds plausible.
Page had foreign interests, and was known to the FBI. But, Pop’s name wouldn’t have been offered if he hadn’t exaggerated his experience. That’s what got him into deep and murky waters.
Something has to be done about them even though their transgressions were not applicable to the Russian/Trump investigation. What they did was mostly a decade ago and at least one item was investigated and closed without any indictment.
The Democrats are now telling anybody who wants to campaign for any of their opponents that they will be investigated and a "crime" will be found. The Dems now realize they are losing most of the American voters so they will now use the corrupt judicial system to take out anybody who aligns themselves with any political campaign, at any level within that campaign.
The Dems intend to make themselves the only people who can run a political campaign because they will protect all of their volunteers and workers while jailing everyone from their opposition.
Mueller needs a victory.

After seeing the way they SCREWED Admiral Flynn, I would not be surprised to see this exchange:
FBI INTERVIEWER: Mr. Papadopoulos, can you tell us the date you met with Mr. Halper?
PAPADOPOULOS: Well...let's see, that was sometime when I was in London...I returned to the States on the fifteenth, and it was a few days before...I think September 12th.
FBI INTERVIEWER: I see. When you got back to the States...
In the back room, they were probably looking at illegally obtained transcripts of the meeting from a wire-carrying Halper, and said "Aha! We got his ass! The meeting was September 13th, not September 12th!" with a lot of ensuing high fives and jollity.
Would not be surprised at all.

I read that...does it not seem like a typical thing that a inexperienced person who thinks he is smart (like Papadopoulos) would walk right into?
“Sure, I’ll talk to you folks at the FBI, no, I don’t need a lawyer present, what do you need to know? I don’t have anything to hide. Uh, sure. I understand not telling the truth is punishable. What do you want to know?”
I’ll bet a buck that as this thing went on, he began to panic, because you can imagine by the words, tones, and looks on the faces that they were trying to screw him to the wall.
I read in that document a classic example of a guy, Papadopoulos, who wanted to score a “scalp” for the Trump Campaign by making some high level contacts in Russia, maybe even setting up a meeting with Putin himself! One can almost imagine his fantasizing that Trump, upon hearing that Papadopoulos set up a meeting with Putin for Trump, would pat Papadopoulos on the back,, promote him to his inner circle, George would make a name for himself and so on.
Point is, he was in over his head, fresh innocent meat, and being groomed for exploitation by both the FBI and the Russians. (remember, it isn’t really in question that the Russians were screwing around in this arena trying to, as Dan Bongino states, sow chaos in our institutions. Putin is not, and has never been our friend. He is a KGB thug to the core, and leopards don’t change their spots.
What did Papadopoulos do other than support Trump?
We ought to also keep speaking out about the media lack of challenge when the lies and spinning is being aired over the alphabet networks who are bought and paid for mockingbirds. The American people who will actually give a damn must be made painfully aware of the treachery of media, especially as we approach the voting season for mid-terms. Democrats need to become extinct ...
