Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup. Bayer makes a broad-spectrum product called Spectricide that does not contain glyphosate.

It works OK.

I like Spectricide. On warm sunny days, you can see results in minutes on a lot of plants. The thing is fried in a few days. It's best to mix in a small amount of "sticker" so it stays on the leaves.

If I am mulching, I spray it on weeds or grass and throw a thin layer of the mulch on a few hours later. Or if I'm in a hurry, I throw it on right away. Very few weeds grow through the mulch.
